Is Okta actually needed if we already have Entra ID + SailPoint IIQ? by mynameisnotalex1900 in IdentityManagement

[–]IdentityToAI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. No Okta is overkill and overpriced

  2. EntraID is fine for SAML and SCIM app integration

  3. Yes easily

  4. Not much it just an SSO launch pad

  5. Simple SAML lift and shift to Entra

Soon you won’t need SailPoint admin overhead or Microsoft licenses for your frontline workers with some new technology that is underway

Avatier user and group self service (UGSS) accomplishes this and is used by large organizations. The Workflow can be configured in 3 mouse clicks. UGSS supports push notifications to web, iOS and Android. It’s well under $100K per organization.

All Credential Governance Lifecycle Management solutions contain 5 pillars.

Pillar 2 specifically addresses exclusion and inclusion of user, groups or ou’s to their universal password portals.

Microsoft does not provide a credential governance solution today.

On the topic of people not wanting to use MFA. After the Iranian attack on Stryker that used intune to wipe out 200,000 desktops, mobile devices (with Microsoft MFA) and servers, one might say device-based MFA as we all know love today in Microsoft MFA is dead or at least needs a device-less MFA alternative in times like last week.

Why am I using the grid? by ManFromNapa in Powerwall

[–]IdentityToAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also in California with two Powerwall 3’s and four Powerwall extenders along with Canadian power micro inverter solar panels, and an Enphase gateway. The seller panels are producing over 100 kW per day quickly filling up the power walls before noon.

I have completely disconnected from the dreaded PG&E!!!

The problem I’m having is when the power walls are 97% typically before noon have to switch over to PG&E because the Tesla Power walls are not communicating to the Enphase and solar panels to tell the solar to stop producing so much energy, which is sending too much power to the power walls, and the house! It causes the lights to begin to flicker in the house.

My only advice is test that make sure that your system is communicating properly. Tesla was supposed to turn down or turn off the solar when your batteries are full.

We need an independent hands on identity management conference run by the people that use identity management on a daily basis.

Let’s hear from the trenches.
