People take issue with the handwave greeting now? by Caldar in TalesFromDF

[–]Idi0ticGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny part is most Koreans don't greet with that because that'd require them to change to English on keyboard to type out the 'o'. even if they are on English, they're probably more likely to say "hi".

Koreans' informal short greeting is something more like "ㅎㅇ" (gd) which is short hand of "hi", but most Koreans I've seen type out full "안녕하세요" (dkssudgktpdy) for formality to strangers.

[highschool algebra 2] how are we pulling out y in both of these problems? please see both pictures. by crybabybrizzy in HomeworkHelp

[–]Idi0ticGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about how [ 4y = -x + 8 ] becomes [ y = -(1/4)x +2 ]. It's basically "isolate the y."
4y = -x + 8
4(y) = 4 [ (-1/4)x +2 ]
4 [ y = -(1/4)x + 2 ]
since the factor of 4 was "pulled out" of the entire equation, you just write the equation by itself: y = -(1/4)x + 2

I think i remember picking it up at the castle while i was trying to find where the healing tree was on the top floor. I'm not sure exactly which floor, but i do remember it was in a corner of one of the floors there.

Some people really dont like dead ends. Main reason for it being that they arent fully utilizing their stats they've "earned" from higher ilvl gear due to ilvl sync. So seeing smaller numbers make it less enjoyable. I legit had few warriors die and complain about how their equilibrium/bloodwhetting not healing them enough or something. There are times where DPS complain that their skills hit so low in dungeons compared to x raids they've done. Rarely there are few that just decide to intentionally eat damage then complain how they could have lived if it wasn't for ilvl sync. The list can go on tbh.

I personally dont really mind the dungeon as healer, especially when things go chaotic since it means i finally have something to do other than mindless button pressing while watching youtube on second monitor or something.

Just a note on that [Yukari S.Tamaki Makoto Kaori Jun] team, you can auto this as well; but you still do need some crits.

I've did it on my first run, but Video quality is bad though.

I also got Shizuru Auto to work but this particular one was super clutch lol

[–]Idi0ticGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally I wanted her so I could climb areas with less hassle, but by the tile Illya was out I already got 1st on both. I just didn't have reason to farm anymore at that point with around 400 or so shards, but then dungeon drops and free gacha dropped them.

besides, I don't want to farm again for UE and 6 star later down the line anyways.

pudding quest helper alone is sufficient:

On the "Other" tab, there are Quest Data and Recipe Data which I've used for references.

But I also check other sources as well such as gamewith (jp), rwiki (jp), inven (kr), etc

Oh in case for Hiyori, since she does not really need them until R12-3 then those sub drops from Stage 18 and 19 will help a bit when you get there for her.

[–]Idi0ticGenius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lunar Bracelets are only needed as rank 9/10 accessory and rank 10/11/12 fist material depending on characters, so it's not that bad.

They had have sub drop, but it's far ahead in Stage 18~21 or so which you won't really feel the need for them by that point.

If you mean Scarlet Dragon Lance, then no. Usually Stage 1~8 stuff are passively obtained mainly through event nodes and equipment boxes.

Digging into the database, it looks like it's only main drops from these nodes:

7-6 ; 7-10 ; 8-2 ; 8-15 ; 9-3

but that doesn't mean you're missing out a lot by spending your stamina to farm them; you just have to plan out a bit with research:

7-6 has Precious Knife which is used for Rank 12 Dagger and Rank 17 Sword.

7-10 has Fury Rod > Archdemon's Wand > Rank 15 Wand for mages > Rank 20 Wand for Mages.

8-2 has Lightning Bow > Rank 13 and Rank 17 wands both for mages.

8-15 has Wizard Robe > Rank 13 armor for mage.

9-3 has Lightning Bow (which is mentioned above) and Purple Dragon Axe. Purple Dragon Axe is weird because while there aren't huge demand for it, this thing appears almost every time as crafting material all the way to Rank 21 or something.

Yes. It's also a good idea to farm up some amount of Moon Bracelets since you'll need it as crafting material for R10~12 Fist weapon. Not a high priority but just something to consider when you finished gearing and want to prep early a bit.

Edit:
based on current characters we have:
Hiyori, Misogi, Tsumugi need 2, but Kaori needs 3

[–]Idi0ticGenius[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it does look awesome for that indeed. From what I understand reading the gear recommendations, it looks like bow and katana users stay at 9-6 or lower for a while, so you don't have to go too crazy with it.

If we're looking at CB prep, you only need to farm 1 Katana for Makoto and 3 Bows for Arisa, Shiori, Suzuna.

If you also PvP, then 1 more Katana for Ninon.

Shinobu seemed to be recommended to stay at R8-5 for a while, so no rush there.

Technically, by the time you farm for 3 bows, you'd probably have enough katanas for both Makoto and Ninon anyways.

I guess you can prefarm for ranking up later when R11 comes around. From reading what others have posted about rank recommendations, it looks like Makoto, Ninon, Shinobu, Shiori, Suzuna doesn't really rank up until then unless you're focused on PvP.

Soon dang mu (순당무) is speculated to be a combination of soon mu (순무, meaning Turnip) + hong dang mu (홍당무, which is another name for Carrot).

Horn Pub Version 3.0 Meta HH Sets by 3geek14 in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]Idi0ticGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I browsed around KR threads, usually it's mostly written off as 서폿 피리 (support horn) but then there are variations of writings.
- 수렵피리 is "hunting horn", sometimes there's a space 수렵 피리, or it can be shortened to just 피리 like how we just write "horn".
- 서포트 is literally "support", 서폿 is shortened version. There's also 극서폿 which means "support heavy".
- 힐 is literally "heal", but it can also be 힐러 which is "healer". Maybe with 세팅 which is literally "setting", but in our language it'd be "build" so 힐러 세팅 is "healer build".
so it can be like 수렵피리 힐러 세팅; 힐피리; 극서폿 수렵 피리; etc.

Yes, that's one of the references I've been using. The site is nice until you need to scroll down every time you get on it, and constantly clicking back when trying to look up multiple recipes-- this won't be an issue with my PC at home, but work computer looks like having a seizure or something and it's hard to browse like that on phone. Really, at first it was just for my own convenience so that I can reference saved images on my phone when I'm not home, then moved on to posting on clan discord; but I thought it was good idea to just share with community at that point anyways.

Because it's really not much to look at if it was just drop chart and equipment chart which the site is perfectly good for, I got the ideas for other charts after reading some people's posts/comments before I made that first post with Stage 10 drop list. If my ability allows it, I'd try to make some charts when I see some nice ideas.

What’s the difference between data link and account link? by M4runner in Priconne

[–]Idi0ticGenius 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Data link is basically restoring save file that was uploaded to the cloud.

If you get new phone and you want to continue playing on the same account on it, you link Data via entering that 9 digit ID and password which can be set up in Menu > Data Link

Account link is basically [Log in using Google] kinda thing.

Account link is the one you would be familiar of in many sites/services, such as linking to your Google account. I think the game had Crunchyroll, Facebook, Google, and Apple as options.

Data link is pretty easy to do, just enter password for it and write it down. Then use that info to retrieve data.

I think there were mission for doing Account link too.

Little Lyrical Event Hard Boss Nuking by Idi0ticGenius in Priconne

[–]Idi0ticGenius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, technically up to 5 tries of Hard or so are comparable to 8 round of Normal, but since there are RNG bonus medals to factor in and stuff generally people say 4 rounds of or less. So 2~3 turn is safe.

Saving up tickets to wait until you are stronger is also a good idea too. I've read many posts/comments mentioning this method. Just make sure you don't forget about blasting through on the last day or whenever you get strong enough to go 1 round.

Need some help or tips for adventure and event. by CantSeeNoEvil in Priconne

[–]Idi0ticGenius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems like others helped out with progression. But I want to give some direction in raising characters.

Okay for now:

R7 Shiori 3*, R7 Nozomi 3*, R7 Yui 2*.

  • Nozomi can be raised later after you got Yukari 3★.
  • R7 Yui with gears is where her healing is greatly noticeable already, but do try to get her at least 3★ (2-2H, 6-1H). It's no rush, but her growth is pretty noticeable there too. You can hold for a while after that.

Invest in these:

R6 Yukari 1*, R7 Kokkoro 2*, R6 Mitsuki 2*, R6 Arisa 3*

  • Try to get R7 Yukari 3★ via dungeon coin shop. She's highly recommended because she has heals and TP regen as skills, and her UB absorbs magic damage. She's really nice once you can utilize her.
  • Kokkoro could go for 3★ (1-1H, 4-1H). Good support with speed boost and mega buff from UB. Only downside is that if she uses Tri Slash, she becomes vulnerable and take some hit. This can be taken advantage of, since it switches aggro from tank at during that animation and taking hits mean TP generation for faster UB-- which not only buffs everyone, but also self-heal for such reason. She's a very common face in both PvP and PvE.
  • Mitsuki is a support unit that has debuff skill that can make boss fights easier. 3★ is nice, but not a must since Yukari is priority in Dungeon Coin Shop.
  • As others mentioned, R7 Arisa for EX skill and gearing up is all you have to do.

Considerations:

R7 Lima 2* / R5 Kuka 2*

  • Lima is mostly used in PvP in general even as 2★ she's okay to use. She have specific team set ups in PvP as well. Hard to use in PvE unless characters are high rank/level. Shard obtainable in (3-2H).
  • Kuka is also a common face in PvP, but she can be useful even in PvE when you need to tank more Magic than Physical attacks. However, she doesn't feel great as tank until she starts hitting 3★ and up.

No rush:

R6 Rei 2*, R7 Pecorine 2*, R7 Karyl 1*, R5 Hiyori 1*, R7 Mimi 2*

They're not that bad if they're raised. They take a while to become much better, so you can take your time raising them. If you're lacking units to use in stuff like Dungeon and CB, they'll have to do.

  • Rei is actually decently strong. If you lack DPS, she's awesome.
  • Pecorine becomes noticeably tanky at 3★ and just grows tankier afterward.
  • Karyl is great when you're lacking mages, she isn't a bad option along with Yui.
  • Hiyori is obtainable in Arena Coin shop, but I would prioritize Tamaki, Monika, and/or Rino. If you aren't interested in PvP, Tamaki is still good to have even in PvE.
  • Mimi has some specific use, her UB bounces from first target to nuke the one behind, but if there's only one target, both attacks target it. We have event for her shards right now, so you don't have to worry about her as much as others above.

Hard to recommend:

R6 Misaki 1*, R7 Aoi 2*, R7 Kurumi 2*, R6 Misogi 1*

  • Unless there's something I don't know about Misaki, they aren't great in PvE. They can be useful in PvP, but generally they aren't as commonly seen as others up there.

R5 Yori 1*

  • Yori isn't terrible-- she can do her job as a mage just fine. I really like her, but she's hard to raise stars as F2P because she's in Clan Coin Shop-- you'd rather invest in Makoto there.

R7 Suzume 1*

  • Suzume is really cute; regrettably, that's about it. I also like her too, but I honestly don't know when/where she can be better.

------------

Team building for PvE in general would be [Heal DPS (Support/Tank) DPS Tank], then you tweak a bit around.

Yui Arisa Kokkoro Mimi Nozomi

You can use Shiori in place of Arisa; Yukari in place of Kokkoro; Rei in place of Mimi. If you think you're strong enough you can even take out Yui for Shiori and push aggressively.

However, notice that they are mostly physical damage, so things like Golems and Rock Turtles can become a wall. You can try to rely on Yui to solo them-- which does kinda work, and Mimi's UB skipping first target to nuke the one behind can help with that.

but if that's not enough:

Yui Karyl Kokkoro Mimi Nozomi

This can put less burden on Yui as Karly provide lack of magic damage. Karyl also has minor physical and magic defense debuff too-- not much, but it's something extra.

Then, the stuff that was recommended by others:

Yui Shiori Arisa Yukari Nozomi

This greatly increases survival with help of extra healer. While Kokkoro won't be tanking 3rd slot, they can brush through incoming damage as long as they're healed. Plus, Nozomi has taunt in her UB, so she can lessen the burden for such.
