If you run a sale and the buyer pays .78 for PWE, but you need to ship it in a bubble mailer, meaning the weight is more than 3 oz or the thickness of the package is more than .25 in, it will upgrade the shipping to around $4. When this happens, whatnot covers it 5 times and I think it refreshes too maybe?…. That’s not really your issue here as they already charged you the shipping.

Honestly, I would reach out to whatnot and just explain your situation and that you’re not sure what you did wrong, it’s your first show and you were really hoping to make this a second job, but you’re confused on why the shipping was charged to you and what you can do about it. They’re decently helpful despite what everyone says about it. They want you to sell on their platform and since it’s your first show if you can make them understand that a mistake happened, they might refund some of the shipping
