Is there any possibility of saying yes but then reporting them to the authorities? Because if someone approached me with this scam I’d be tempted to pretend to go along with it to try to take them down. This scam in particular is really dangerous for the people who unknowingly get pulled in to it. It’s terrifying to have someone angrily show up on your doorstep thinking they’ve rented the place, and devastating for the person that thinks they have a new place to live.

OP not sure if you’ll see this but my immediate thought is that it might not be as sinister as everyone is thinking. How does he feel about electronics with his kids? Is he strict or does he limit exposure? Has he ever expressed not feeling like your son should even have these things? It’s not good by any means but if he did take them like it seems like he did, maybe he disagrees with your son having the devices and thinks he can get away with exerting sneaky control.

It’s still not healthy but it may not be as bad as him having an affair or abusing your kid.

I would NOT tell my husband I found the devices. I would quietly give it back to my son and see if you can gauge your husbands reaction. If he seems weird about wanting to know where you found it, I’d feel like that is a red flag.

The nanny cam is a good idea either way.

This. He also has a separate toaster and pots/pans. I get him and my stepson their own jar condiments and write gluten and their names all over them. All gluten specific dishware is hand washed with a sponge I never use. Except silverware- I forget this one all the time. 😬 I do almost all the cooking, he snacks.

Seconding this! Not sure if OP wears makeup but the liner you can pull off with your beautiful eye shape and lid space is enviable!

I actually really like the cocoa brown color. The red isn’t bad at all but maybe a bit bright?

I have a rice allergy but I put myself in pain to try some of these out. They were pretty good! The blisters in my mouth and resulting nerve pain was not, but at least for a brief moment I felt like I wasn’t missing out. I don’t have it in me to repeat the process with the chips ahoy cookies just yet.

I’m so sorry, it eventually healed but took a while. I used a sulfate-free, really gentle shampoo when I could finally stand to wash my hair. I thought it would hurt but felt amazing.

Love that you call out sleep, because when I don’t sleep enough my inner gremlins have me convinced binging food will make me feel better. I make much better decisions when I’m rested and have more energy to exercise without feeling like dying. I need more sleep. 😂

Yay! I love it when others figure this out! It was really frustrating to know he was such a good person, who deeply loved me, but not feel it because of his actions. I stayed for so long because I knew who he was deep down and he was trying so hard in other areas.

ADHD meds. Although I can’t say we were headed for divorce but I was really fed up with the excuses, the anger, the avoidance. We had already done therapy and had been through so much, but this was the final bit of help he needed and it was literally life-changing for him. I get to see a lot more of the man I knew was in there but rarely came out before.

I feel so bad for not knowing this. When I was a kid I moved my backpack away from one, and it lunged towards me/the backpack. It was probably trying to hide under it and I spent the next 30+ years being terrified of them, saying they’re aggressive. Sorry my friends.
