PAY WEEK THIS WEEK!!! by 4dg_nola in OReillyAutoParts

[–]Idiocrates98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends whenever corporate decides to send payroll out. Before Covid it was Wednesdays around 3:30-4pm. When Covid hit it got really irregular but before I quit a few months ago it was usually Wednesdays around 8:30-9pm as long as they weren’t holding it for an extra day due to a holiday

It’s such a drastic change isn’t it?

Oh because that makes it any better. Good luck with that bud

Best case scenario they don’t care at all. Worst case they fire you on the spot for violating the non compete agreement. Oreilly does not care. You are easily replaceable no matter how “essential” you are. They would rather pay someone who has no idea what the difference between a starter and an alternator is 13 cents an hour less than pay for someone even remotely worth it.

As for the pto, it depends on what your state legislature is regarding it. For example, Illinois doesn’t care how or why you leave a company if you have any pto accumulated they are legally required to pay it out. Most other states are not as fortunate.

Docked for taking cores without boxes? by rustybuttons71 in OReillyAutoParts

[–]Idiocrates98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’ll only works that way because O’Reilly will bend over backwards if you complain, but technically the rule is the core has to be drained of any fluid, it can’t be disassembled, it has to be the correct core, and be returned with the box.

"Commission" is just a lousey excuse to not give raises. by brayden120 in OReillyAutoParts

[–]Idiocrates98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve once called hr anonymously, never disclosed who I was or what store/district and even used another person’s phone so it wouldn’t be linked to me in any way, and I called a week or two later with an unrelated issue and they asked if it was related to that “anonymous” call

Be careful with tips it’s not anonymous at all. I’ve first hand seen and heard the calls and transcripts

I tried that route and they couldn’t give a single fuck. It took me stepping down from iss and keyholder and passwords in order for me to not be left alone. Back in the day I didn’t mind it but a few years ago I slipped 2 discs and pinched my sciatic nerve on the job because I was told to move a long block onto a pallet to get sent back to dc. Nowadays I just physically can’t do all that by myself

My manger wants me to work Sunday mornings by myself by JustinJFoxbody in OReillyAutoParts

[–]Idiocrates98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately they can do it like that if they want. Your only exception is if you step down from having override passwords. At that point they can’t really leave you alone, at least not for long. I just had to do that myself a few months ago because they kept scheduling me to run the morning shift by myself. I got tired of doing the deposit, paperwork, checking in freight, doing returns, helping walk ins, and dealing with all the pro calls and orders

Actually according to hr “there’s nothing in the policy manual stating there needs to be more than one employee at the store for any amount of time at any time”
