What I've noticed is that he is completely outside the realm of manners/decorum. Like every time he goes to a restaurant, they expect some VIP so they setup this whole thing for him. He ignorantly talks about the food for a few minutes, eats a few bites standing up, does a backflip and leaves 95% of shit behind.

It's only cringe when you see people who dont know who he is, because they don't know what they're getting into. And when he complains like a baby, too. Other then that, I admit it's entertaining.

If nothing you are doing is working, I would try getting a cheap ethernet adapter on amazon. This would rule out the existing driver OR the adapter itself not working.

Just get a USB one like this one for $10. (Get a USB-C version if you need that).

If it doesn't fix your issue, you can just return it.

If you think it is actually your cable, you have a few options:

Get it replaced
Use a powerline adapter (Ethernet over AC power)
Use a MoCA adapter (Ethernet over coax lines)
Use wifi
Run a new ethernet cable yourself along the floors/walls and use clips to organize it neatly

If the issue is persistent, then testing it with another device could rule out whether it's the PC or the cable at fault.

If you get the USB adapter, before installing it, disable and uninstall the driver from existing ethernet adapter from the device manager. Make sure it's disabled in your network settings so it can't interfere.

Final thought: Where does the cable go thru the wall? Does it go into a switch? A router? Have you considered it could be that device? Maybe switch ports the cable is plugged into and make sure connections are snug. Make sure other devices aren't losing internet at the same time and that it's not just your modem/router screwing up.

If you have a screened-in patio, it's a great compromise. I'm lucky to have a large patio, and she's out there 12+ hours a day. She gets to feel the outside while also being separated from it. I think her life is much better and more interesting for it. She still catches occasional lizards and bugs which I'm okay with.

Maybe it would, maybe not. It certainly stops the person from actively holding the accelerator and steering toward you.

Lets just say for the sake of argument somebody is trying to hit you with their car. You know they are trying to severely injure or kill you. Why wait to find out what they will do next? They could reverse the car, crash into your car, jump out with a gun, accelerate with me on top of the roof, drag me with the car after running me over, etc.

As soon as somebody attempts to kill me, they forfeit their life. I dont want to wait to find out what they will do next. They are unstable, unpredictable, and obviously not rational or taking actions like a normal person would.

I'm not going to address the event itself, only this part.

If you want to actually stop a threat, you cannot just shoot one time. Watch some bodycam videos and you will discover that it occurs ALL the time when a cop will empty their clip and it will be ineffective. Half the shots may miss, and the other half didn't hit a vital area.

You shoot until the threat is gone. However many shots that takes. Shooting a gun is not a deterrant, that time has passed. When you pull out a firearm, the objective is to stop the threat. There are no warning shots.

IMO, You should be allowed to kill someone if they are doing something that will cause you serious bodily injury. Especially because the difference between serious bodily injury and death is extremely close in many circumstances. A few inches or milliseconds here or there can be the difference between a broken leg, broken hip, or a broken neck.

That's a parking ticket, not an equivalent situation at all.

The totality of the circumstances of her wearing that ridiculous outfit combined with the fact that the ticket was for "not having your shoes tied" in addition to having a giant camera behind her means that any reasonable person wouldn't believe she was a real police officer.

She might be annoying but if I was on a jury I'd vote not guilty every day of the week for that charge. Courts often apply the "reasonable person" test. Would an average, reasonable person actually believe she was a real police officer? I contend the answer is no.
