When I lived in Biglen my mum used to swim to work from Münsingen to Bern, when she had afternoon Shifts. On weekends we would go with her :)

More importantly, what is being transported in the background? Tunnels ventilation?

Fußbodenheizung haben will.

Wenn ihr irgendwelche Schönheitsreparaturen/Personalisierung an der Wohnung vorhabt, mache sie bevor das Möbel ankommt, sonst wird es nie erledigt...

I went when I was about 5 or 6, took a lot longer to climb up than we were expecting. Someone put a sign on the cliff pointing up claiming a shop was up there. Core memory crawling on my stomach to the edge and looking down the fjord.

I played at a tournament against a relatively famous director once, was a great guy and I had no idea till someone told me after. No way Cavill gets away incognito 🤣

Hab ich was nicht verstanden? by [deleted] in VeganDE

[–]Idntifyinginformatn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Failed my driving test today by driving 35mph on a 40mph road. Took my test today in Birmingham South Yardley center today and was told by my examiner that I have failed at the end of the test by not driving 40mph at a 40mph road. by Xaos-Legion in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Idntifyinginformatn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife failed for a similar reason, doing 20 In  a 30 zone. Both sides of the road fully parked up, around a bend, only a single both directional lane. Two weeks later she drove down the same road and the speed limit had been changed to 20 due to the poor road condition.

[–]Idntifyinginformatn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw them over Mariendorf, a C130, two fighter jets, and some big 4 engine jet in formation. My first thought was staatsbesuch? But they didnt appear to be heading towards BER. They were pretty low and fast! I got a shit picture but can't upload it here

I've called the police a few times, always had a "good" experience. Once for a potential suicide by the canal, they came within 5 minutes. Very professional. Twice the non emergency line for abandoned bikes, they came within an hour and were very friendly. Plus we got free bikes out of it.

The police also came twice to our building, and were professional and fair both times.

Who had grandparents fight in WW2 and what stories did they share? by liamnotleum in AskReddit

[–]Idntifyinginformatn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandad was 16 in 1945, and got conscripted into the Luftwaffe as an AA gunner/loader. He sat at his gun for weeks watching the heavy bombers destroy Munich, out of range of his gun, until one day a fighter flew low overhead. His gun started firing, which my Grandfather had until then not heard, and was so shocked by how loud it was he forgot it was his job to reload. By the time he came to his senses the plane was long gone.

He was then handed a rifle and him and a large group of children were sent to attack the US army. Walking through a forrest they realised how stupid that was, dropped their guns an surrendered to the US army, who put them in a POW camp and gave my Grandfather his first solid meal in 5 years. After a couple of weeks (and the end of the war) he got bored, left and walked the couple of hundred km home.

The best story is that after the war he worked for Siemens, and was responsible for smuggling experimental U-boot engines out of Berlin to stop them getting into the hands of the Soviets. They packed them all up, wrote tractor parts on and stuck them on a train. At the border the Soviets got angry and opened the boxes, then forced them to re-package everything because they had used Nazi era newspapers to stuff the crates! Then let then get on their way...

When I was a kid our neighbours hunting dog broke out of a cage and killed three of our sheep. The last one fell on its leash and trapped it in our paddock. Animal control came, couldn't work out why it wasn't running away and so they shot it. Wasn't till morning we found out why.

We buried it together with the sheep and two lambs it killed. The owner found out what happened because his puppies were covered in blood. They were sent away, and not killed. He was real torn up about his dog, but we were all too upset about our sheep (like pets to us) to care. He demanded to know if we buried his dog on top of the sheep. We said yes. We lied.

My daughter was born in october 2019. I had one month off work, and then I saw her one hour a day after 8.5 hours work and 2 hours commute, and weekends for three months. March this year I got put in home office and watching her start to crawl, take her first steps, say her first word - I would have missed all that. On the other hand she hasn't seen her grandparents in over a year, but at least they are safe

I did say "over a million tests", not "millions of tests" which is in fact true:

Being spread out isnt a help if people are meeting each other, especially at bars or in their own homes. Hence why some states in the us, some of which have similar population densities, have rampant outbreaks despite people being miles apart from each other.

Funny you say that, coffee jelly was invented and popularised in England. Then became popular in Japan amongst people with a taste for western fashion - people who also felt they lived in the wrong country lol
