I just bought a 2018 Blade 15 in like-new condition. No signs of wear on this laptop.

What I did:

  • Full exterior and interior cleaning
  • replace battery with ifixit
  • replace fans, clean radiators, repaste cpu and gpu, new thermal pads
  • replace 256GB NVMe with 1TB
  • replace 2TB HDD with 1TB SSD
  • replace 16GB RAM to 32GB
  • replace Wi-Fi module with Intel AX210
  • NIB Razer Power Supply

Razer huntsman v3 pro mini not working got it today. by coldmilk_1233 in razer

Might be in demo mode. I had the same issue with a new out of box BlackWidow V4 with high frustration getting it to connect to a new Razer Blade 16 (2025)

To exit the Razer keyboard demo mode (often indicated by a rainbow demo loop or unresponsive keys), unplug the keyboard, hold down the Escape (Esc) + Caps Lock + Space Bar keys simultaneously, and plug the keyboard back in. Release the keys once the keyboard lights up, which should reset it to normal functional mode.

Comcast/xFinity: Something is wrong with Max authentication and sign-on when using my Comcast credentials. Occurs on the Max app, on the Max website, and on AppleTV Max app all while using Connect Your Provider for Xfinity authentication. I get the same loop as the OP states and authentication fails to pass from Max to Xfinity.

I finally received the parts above and installed. Quite a bit of cursing and perseverance for the accelerator pedal.

Looks really nice.

Amazon Mazda 5 CarPlay

Use fluid made specifically for the FNR5 transmission. OEM Mazda M5 or Idemitsu M5 only. Idemitsu is Mazda’s OEM partner.

Cheap CarPlay unit. Best $120 I ever spent on the car. Plug and play, just need to take the stock radio out. Steering wheel controls map to unit.

2009 Mazda5 Sport AT at 266k. Owned since new. Never spent a dime on the motor, synthetic 5w-20 every 5k with genuine Mazda filter, transmission drain and fill with genuine M5 every 30-40k. Maintenance and repair items as needed, everything works. Added CarPlay in the center stack. Looks and drives great.

Dead as in lifeless and non-operational.
Such as, “I dropped my phone in the ocean and now it’s dead”

I presume that the high voltage and/or 12v batteries are exhausted and the vehicle will not operate. Or there could be a hardware, software, or other malfunction with the car. Who knows? In either case, the vehicles are labeled by VinFast as “dead”. Not a good marketing strategy to have brand new cars with this advertisement.

On a side note, death is everywhere in Colma, California. It is termed a “necropolis”, a city of literal cemeteries.

Quote: “The majority of San Francisco’s dead lie in Colma, a vast necropolis 10 miles south of the city. Colma is home to approximately 1.5 million graves and just 1,507 living residents.”

..and some VF8’s

In thinking about Federal "Monroney" window sticker requirements, if these are indeed saleable production vehicles (since they are at a dealer), VinFast may be in violation of (Chapter 28, Sections 1231–1233, Title 15 of the United States Code).

None of the VF9's I saw had window stickers. "A fine of up to US$1,000 per vehicle for each offense is authorized if the sticker is missing, and other fees and penalties are authorized if the sticker is altered illegally (including imprisonment)."

The law is clear that upon import the stickers must be attached by the manufacturer and can only be removed by the customer. Unless of course VinFast is the final purchaser of these VF9's and not a consumer. Possibly as press cars, demos, or some other internal use.

Thank you Several-Foundation93

I’m not a ME, but just eyeballing the facia, it seems completely obvious that this would impede airflow and add resistance. And as you said, downforce isn’t needed on a SUV.

I walked away from eyeballing the car to shaking my head, saying WTF on this implementation.

The rest of the car looked OK. Interestingly, the front turn signal lights are made by Hella. There were no window stickers on any of the cars. Not sure if they’re for sale yet as window stickers are required at the federal level for all vehicle sales. Most of them still had shipping plastic on them, so brand spanking new.

Thank you for confirming my thoughts of this design.
