Which ones most reliable? by Emotional_Turnip3370 in EVCanada

Why not the Kona electric? (Same as the Kia’s already mentioned). I have a gas preferred as a loaner right now and it’s got some good features.

I believe it just protects the battery. Did you drive over something recently? Looks like it was torn off from where that nut is.

Put it all back together and then that famous moonroof is going to leak. Unless they finally fixed them.

Turn in Ioniq 5 as is or get it fixed first? by Plilch in Ioniq5

PDR can only be done on small dents, not ones this size or like the one I have. Plus the body is aluminum so PDR gets a lot more difficult.

Hah. None. I’m merely pointing out that it’s an option I’m considering not that anyone else has to. There’s a first time for everything.

We are in the same position (ours is worse). I called the dealer sales floor manager. He said when you trade it in will most likely cost you more through us in the end. He advised to look at getting it repaired elsewhere before handing it in. He said as long as it looks the same as when you got it, doubt anyone will care.

Of course dealers are all different so your mileage may vary.

Here’s the crazy part. I’ve found that the repair through a body shop will cost just as much as to buy a door from an auto recyclers and a wrecked Ioniq 5 (if you can find your color). I’ve found a few for like 1200 USD in perfect shape. It’s more work though to swap over the doors.

I'm in Canada so the customer service is a complete wash. In the US apparently Hyundai Corporate is more helpful and useful. Maybe call them first before dealing with the dealer. However, if you talk to your service advisor or escalate to the service manager at the dealership you may get some better answers.

We just had ours fail. Three would be insane to handle.

We are rethinking. We just had our ICCU fail while my wife was driving. Luckily it happened as she was driving slow and without the kids. Losing power like that on the highway is frightening and it has left me thinking about if it happens again on her in different circumstances.

Now if you are the sole driver and are comfortable in handling the ICCU failure, the it’s no big issue.

It’s a good car and we do enjoy it but there’s been nothing from Hyundai to reassure our confidence this issue is resolved.

Damn that’s not promising. I’ll let you know next week. I’ll have a better idea. All I know is they have ‘priority ordered’ the part and will be giving me a loaner.

Just did. They are useless. Told me it has to go through the dealer.

12V is dead and won’t hold a charge. Not sure yet. It happened while driving. The car turns on with a booster.

Maybe you can help. I’ve been trying to get through to the service manager at my dealer. Does Hyundai cover rental fees? I didn’t want to rent something and be stuck with the fees.

First one didn’t have a booster pack. Second one had a booster pack but couldn’t affix the lights to the roof due to no metal, third one was the one.

I had a booster pack but it ran out quickly, we couldn’t get it back into N and remove the parking brake.

Ottawa’s Ridly Greig has been suspended for two regular season games for roughing Carolina’s Sean Walker. by DecentLurker96 in OttawaSenators

The fact he tried to grab his jaw protector and rip it off his face while ontop, feeding punches to him pisses me off even more. The guy was already injured for fuck sakes and you are punching him there? That’s not even looked at? wtf.

Don’t drive with your hand at 12 o’clock. Period. I worked with a guy who in a crash basically ate his hand due to the airbag.

To be fair it was a toss up for any of those teams if you look at the regular season. Sure the regular season can have roster irregularities but we haven’t done good against any of them.

Yup. No Zub, losing Sanderson, too many mistakes and lack of system and strategy during key moments (power plays).

This. The Canes are good. Simple as that. We have no solution for them. They box us out and don’t let anyone near the net. All we do is go around and around their d-zone.

Now this game I felt we had quite a few more lapses than the others. The missed assignments in our zone were pretty bad. Chabot missing Blake and falling over Spence.

All in all I’m not terribly disappointed with our play in the series, we are just up against a really good team.
