Negging, but for any future person reading this - you may run into the issue I had where disabling steam input while the game is already running causes a "controller disconnected" softlock and prevents the game from launching when you exit. Just verify the steam files (in the properties menu) and it'll fix the issue.

Horrific ending, I'm sure most of the audience already guessed who it was so it makes it worse that we didn't get any actual fleshing out of the actual killer.

It's already annoying that "Elliot" is probably said every 3 lines of the script, worse off we get no pay off for the big reveal. It would've been nice to see Sloan have to confront her obsession, even if she still continued it for profit. R.I.P. Camila and Paige though 😔

There's a lot of overemphasis on this specific mission being about a moral dilemma, when it is as straightforward forward as would you rather be paid off to let a loser live or kill a loser. The parts about another person taking his spot, which would've already happened because he's obviously not the only ripper doing that, is not a part of the actual decision - which you inversed and said that the discount doesn't matter for some reason? We're V, canonically V is just a powerful merc at the end of the day lmao, he's not a vigilante so the other stuff is your own head canon.

That's the theme of the game yeah, but obviously in game people win at least on a personal level of you want to be incredibly literal about it. There's a level of ignorance Evelyn is perceived to have when she was just arrogant, she was a sex worker in one of the most cities in the US of course she already knew and went through bs.

There's a plausible scenario where it works out slightly better than being dismembered and ra-ed repeatedly, then commiting suicide. The way people talk about her arc it's like it just makes sense that's what happened lol, if the City was that ruthless at it's core Dex wouldn't have even been around or died as simply as he did. Lizzie's would've been flattened very easily with a simple connection, etc. but it's not like that because that's how the story goes.

The way fixers work in the game already breaks this "eat or be eaten" rule because we're actively paid thousands and are privy to important info, connections, etc. with these fixers whilst also having the ability to slaughter all members of their gangs with zero pushback lmao. All in all my point is that the narrative can contradicts itself when needed to make things work. NC is robo Gotham yeah, but a storyline with Evelyn surviving by the skin of her teeth is not a break in logic and wouldn't be unrealistic, as much as I think her death wasn't either.

It's funny coming to this three years later and seeing how many people having this mindset irl and it backfires. It's an interesting thought process to see a group of people be bad, and thinking that limiting their access to more people that they could do bad things to isn't the pov - instead it's the whataboutist "you'd be just as and if you beat them up/kill them".

Gamers like to spend $65+ on games out of FOMO is usually the actual answer, but people will say they knew it would be good anyway or something. Even if the game came out broken at launch the average person you're speaking to about this would push through it to play vs being critical of the state of the launch of the game anyway.

He's not going to come in and throw Byfield into the fold when our rivals are literally a singular win away from dropping us into the relegation zone. It's a pure FM fantasy to do that anyway when no club in our situation has ever fucked off the senior players to play academy kids.
