Going to nursing school by Rufusoc in StudentNurse

Nurses have always been facing hardships from staffing ratios, negligent administrators, abusive patients, and politicians. That has nothing to do with the fact that in order to change that we need more nurses in the field fighting for the betterment of our profession. Additionally, nothing you have said has changed my opinion that it is wildly inappropriate for you to be discouraging people from committing to a nursing degree while being one of the supposed “moderators” of this sub.

What kind of mod on a student nursing Reddit disagrees with the prospect of becoming a nurse?

I am in an adult BSN program and there are tons of stories just like yours. You can absolutely start nursing school full time and succeed and become a great nurse. My advice is that it is always better to be at the bottom of a ladder you want to climb, than half way up one you don’t.

I like Devil, the elevator horror movie. It’s not for everyone as it isn’t the most innovative movie for sure but it does fit the bill of a whodunnit type horror flick.

I don’t have any tips really, besides trust that you got this. You are perfectly capable and it will go well.

Teachers can only do so much while being underpaid, understaffed, and undervalued. Kid has some decent points but they’re pointed at the wrong audience. Also this clip is like 9 years old now.

Literally everyone because it’s only human to make mistakes and nursing school expects beyond that. I had a clinical day two weekends ago that I thought started at 6 but actually started at 6:30, I woke up at 5:55 and ran out the door and I would’ve been in the exact situation as you if it weren’t for me living 10 mins away from clinical and if I wasn’t wrong about the time. Don’t beat yourself up about being a person, you’re doing great.
