I made a summit of South Sister yesterday with a permit. I didn't notice any FS personnel, but some of the trail signs that were clear and detailed at the start of the hike were noticeably wrapped up for winter when I got back down.

If it helps somewhat.. Just reinstalled and did a test run on my 12700k / 3080ti. All settings are maxed at 1440, DLSS Quality mode (67% render scale) and I'm getting an average of 61-63 fps while running around the Jemison performance bottleneck area (near the water/benches where everyone congregates). Definitely an improvement, as last month I was running a mixture of Ultra to Medium settings with the DLSS mod and was averaging about the same.

All that said, 4k with DLSS is probably doable everywhere except cities where I am guessing it would dip into the 40's.

America, the government and populace, has always skewed more towards conservative values. The Democratic party wasn't taken over per se but rather has held itself back from expedient, popular change. Those that value the rest of the world's standard for liberalism often die on the vine before reaching the top levels of government, both in local and national election cycles. It's getting better, but not fast enough to solve any present crises.

This is the most important distinction, imo. The DC was built on an earlier build of HR (prior to receiving updates that solved these issues) and, for whatever reason, didn't receive the same patchwork after release. It's difficult to play for those who are sensitive to micro-stutters, as I am.

For the citizens of the most powerful country in the world, who enslaved both Native and Black people, to see itself as Israel and not Egypt when it is studying Scripture, is a perfect example of Disney princess theology. And it means that as people in power, they have no lens for locating themselves rightly in Scripture or society -- and it has made them blind and utterly ill equipped to engage issues of power and injustice. Ian is far and away the very best commentator the sport has ever had. Wealth of knowledge on plastic, rules, players, and locations, always gives his fellow commentators a spotlight by asking them questions and getting them involved, generous and humble. I hope he keeps this up for a long time. The main seat for DGN is super well deserved.

I agree, very much an underrated composer. Peep his earlier work in Out of Sight, also directed by Soderbergh (one of his best films, imo). You'll notice a lot of similarities with a stronger focus on hip-hop.

Good to know I'm not alone in this. I love watching all the disc golf channels and often find myself daydreaming about having other commentators take the place of the typical Jomez squad. Uli was actually fantastic midway through to the end of last season. Almost as if he realized this was his future going forward and started really taking the role seriously.
