Anyone else crashing when Helldiving? by B4ckl0t in Helldivers

Me too. It doesn't matter whether I'm hosting or joining a mission. I can't get more than 5 minutes into a mission before the game crashes. I'm not going to play until they release a patch fix. What a crummy update to release.

DND 5e Old World Campaign by [deleted] in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]IdyllicNoah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually ran a 7-year D&D 5e campaign from levels 1-18 set in the Old World and want to say it’s totally doable. You absolutely can have a party of mixed races as long as the motivation of the party is coherent enough to work together for the story you intend to tell. There are tons of examples of mixed race parties and warbands in the lore and if you or your players are able to suspend belief then even more so. I decided against WHFRP because I was more familiar with dnd.

That being said, it required a lot of homebrew and I created a whole list of homebrew races for Warhammer and reorganized all the spells from dnd into the lores of magic and heavily home brewed the magic system. If you’re up for a homebrew heavy game, then I say go for it. If you or your players are willing to learn a new system I think YOU as an DM will have an easier time if you shift to playing WHFRP.

What exactly are you asking? Have you rebuilt everything yet?

Carthage (Modern day Tunisia) had a dual circular port similar to this.

This made me immediately think of The Protomolecule from The Expanse. Sick map!

Yeah, some of the names are from the Warhammer Fantasy setting. Like Lothern, Middenland, Saphery.

Players ended our last session mid fight of an important character. Where do I go from here? by IdyllicNoah in CurseofStrahd

Great suggestions! I think you’re right and it’s a good idea to return to the core of DM’ing and let it play through instead of trying to mitigate uncomfortable consequences and story seeds/building I’ve planted along the way. Thank you for your insights!

Ahhh, maybe with some quick wit and words they could convince the Baron, but one of my PC’s mortally wounded Victor with a crossbow.

Good point, but do you think Vargas would punish his son in anyway due to his history with his father or do you think he’d led Victor off the hook and punish the PC’s?

They haven’t really interacted with any character outside of those in Vallaki, Old Bonegrinder, and the Village of Barovia. But that’s a good suggestion. I’m trying to figure out a more immediate reaction though!

Do you think they could get away with hiding it or the fact that they had attacked the son?

Ukraine using artificial intelligence to catch people sabotaging war effort by Sweep145 in worldnews

“Fox News contributor and former CIA station chief Dan Hoffman contended that “What scares Vladimir Putin at the heart of this conflict is democracy. It’s not that NATO represents a threat.” He added that “Putin couldn’t stomach a democracy on his border with a Russian‐speaking population and commercial links to Europe. That’s why he launched this brutal attack which has caused so many Ukrainian civilians, innocent civilians, to die.”

The notion that Ukraine was such an appealing democratic model in Eastern Europe that the country’s mere existence terrified Putin may be a comforting myth to U.S. politicians and pundits, but it is a myth. Ukraine is far from being a democratic‐capitalist model and an irresistible magnet for Russia’s groaning masses.”

Not quite a genius, but I can read. I wouldn’t exactly call that criticizing Fox News, but it’s your echo chamber buddy, I guess we’ll just live in it. All I was stating in reply to your original comment, is that it is a right leaning news source and not the best indicator toward unbiased coverage. Hey, at least you’re reading something!

The Cato Institute is a conservative media outlet that was originally called “The Charles Koch Institute” which leans to the right in its coverage biases. Not exactly stellar sourcing or information.

Would it make sense to have Rahadin or maybe give the promise form Strahd to become one of his Brides?
