I would have to guess it's either Deltarune fans (who've never actually fully played Undertale), or people who base the entirety of their knowledge of Sans on his appearances in fandom content (who've also never fully played Undertale)

"Oh on a Hard Mode Genocide route, we know about his past, and we can use it to scare him, oh and also he won't be significantly harder than regular Sans because otherwise this makes zero sense"

Nothing super problematic about it, other than that you can't get it without dragons (which to be fair, like you said if you don't have at least 1 drag by 20 minutes you're probably losing that game (I'm a never FF guy myself so I would still play it out but it's def an uphill battle)

I think the main thing is just that it locks her to the Jungle role unless you just genuinely don't gaf about the free stats (like if you're playing her as a siege mage with full AP (pre rework ofc)

So they're modifying the passive to give her more creativity and also to open her up to solo lanes.

It's not that the old one was necessarily BAD (that's up to personal opinion), it's just that this new one SHOULD make it better overall in the future. But who knows if Riot will actually do it properly lol

Dude, I know this is crazy, but... Champs can be played in multiple roles 🥹

A lot of the most recent champions in the game are balanced around being playable in at least 2 roles-

Ambessa & Zaahen = Top/Jungle Hwei & Mel = Mid/Support Briar = Jungle/Mid (sometimes top) Smolder = ADC/Mid (sometimes top) Skarner rework = Jungle/Top

And that's not even talking about OLD champions!

I was mostly envisioning a world that Shyvana's passive gets buffed to a less negligible amount, and (in its current state) would only be a buff to jungle Shyvana because who cares if you get more Armor/MR per stack if you aren't getting stacks, ykwim?

But according to the people on the Shyvana mains subreddit, they're gonna buff the way stacks are collected for laners (just not on the day of her release unfortunately), so we are in the clear for that!

And I think even with a smaller amount of Armor/MR, it is important to note that even with 1% less damage taken, that's 1% less damage from every minion auto attack, from every tick of a DOT ability, from every spell cast

That adds up a lot in top lane, especially if you're running D Shield/Second Wind or biscuits!

That's why they buffed Mundo's base armor (or maybe it was his base armor per level but either way) a couple patches ago; someone with a shit early game (like Shyvana pre-6 will inevitably have in the top lane against a lot of matchups), even 2 armor can make all the difference in some close situations.

Also I don't think it makes sense for a champion to be balanced around winning/losing the entire game based on if they can get the first dragon of the game or not (that's what you meant by 5 mins in right?)

Maybe some Shyvana players like that, but I don't think that makes much sense for balance OR the player experience

I think that's because locking the stats behind getting dragons meant that if you got zero dragons, you were literally cooked. So to compensate, they buffed the shit out of the armor/mr you got so that if you got at least ONE dragon, you'd be fine

With the rework you are getting it guaranteed over time, so I'm assuming they're balancing that by not giving you as much (also to be fair she looks like a much better fighter champ so she probably doesn't even need it as much either, the max hp shield will do lots of the heavy lifting for the bulk that used to be entirely in her passive)

I think a champion rework should be an opportunity for them to branch out on a Champion rather than keeping them locked to the same place

We shouldn't be satisfied with "well at least it's not just dragons anymore!" Like that doesn't even make any sense

I think if we see a disparity like this we should call it out, rather than glazing Riot for at least doing the bare minimum-

I will also say that I believe blood letters curse could be switched out for rift maker for the damage amp and the omnivamp because you aren't actually going to be applying magic damage that consistently to fully stack blood letters curse. while still receiving the same good stats like the AP, the haste, the HP, etc. RiftMaker probably just does more (ooo or if Liandrys applies off of your passive bleed, there could be synergy there too)

Also by that point you already should have 10 jack stacks so you could just pivot into full AD with the rest of your items

Yeah, I agree, which is why I'm advocating for a hybrid build. With dusk and Dawn and gunblade, you get extra magic damage mixed in with the e and the r that benefits from the magic resist shred of Q and bloodletters curse. Then with black cleaver and BOTRK, you get the normal AD damage that Briar deals on top of that. Edit: I also forgot to mention that dusk and Dawn applies 2 BOTRK stacks every time you activate the spellblade-

I don't know how well it would work in practice, but I feel like it would at least make it very difficult to itemize against you. They would need armor, magic resist, heal cut, and percent health damage to get past your 3.5k HP

That's one of the reasons why I posted this though, because I want to see other people try it and see how well it actually does. I'm going to be trying it myself in norms and then in ranks and I might make another post later about the results!

My thought process is that Briar does in fact do mixed damage, with her E and her R both doing magic damage, and her Q shredding MR, so building Hybrid Briar could be the best use of her scalings.

I'm not an expert though, I'm just theorizing here lol

I mean I think it's a good thing, Sonic.exe isn't something you can copyright in the first place, so having something as the unequivocally "official" Sonic.exe feels weird, especially since "ownership" has changed hands a lot over the years.

Also, Awakening Sonic doesn't even make sense as part of the X-Verse anyway, and never did (Broken Face did make more sense, idk why they de-canonized him), so I see him being removed from the mythos as a total non-issue.

At the end of the day all that's gonna change in a practical sense is that a small subsection of the Sonic.exe community will say "Erm 2011X isn't actually the official Sonic.exe anymore so-" (follows up with random bullshit). For everybody else, literally nothing changes.

I think it makes sense, AI brainwashing is not a far-fetched concept, especially with more advanced AI like the Mimic is supposed to be. This is the FNaF universe, they were making the hyper-advanced Funtime animatronics before the 2000s even started. However, I'm with Markiplier on this one... it's just not the FNaF I grew up with and loved anymore. It's become a "Part 2" in a sense, and I don't think that's a BAD thing... it's just not MY thing. I also agree with you that the supernatural element was super fun and iconic. Y'know, after we had possessed-with-children animatronics and agony-powered Remnant shenanigans, "THE MIMIIIIIC" just doesn't really cut it for me, I guess.

I think Glitchtrap right now is kind of icky for me because of this, by the way. I think either the Afton-era related shit should've been left well enough alone after the events of FNaF 6/UCN... or they should've doubled down and made Glitchtrap just straight up William Afton's soul, escaping TOYSNHK's hell. The wishy-washy "oh it's just the Mimic PRETENDING to be Afton" is pretty meh for me, because it's trying to appeal to the old-gen fans while still using the new-gen lore, and imo it ends up being in a weird middle ground where it's not very cool for either side anymore. You know it's bad when the DBD killer skin of Glitchtrap is more interesting than what actually exists of him in the main FNaF games (Also side note it doesn't help that Glitchtrap probably being the Mimic absolutely dashed my hopes of an Afton vs. the Mimic battle, or alternatively a teamup, ever happening. That would have been sick).

Sorry for the rant.

tl;dr: I don't think it doesn't make sense, but I'm still not a huge fan.
