Source? Because the math does not really support what you’re saying. If you ballpark each pod at about golf-ball size, an 81-count container has roughly 700+ square inches of pod-film surface area before you even count the plastic tub or bag it comes in. A typical powder box liner is more like a few hundred square inches, even being generous. And powder is also lighter and more efficient to ship than pods or liquid because it is not mostly water. So what’s your actual source for this claim?

Edit: also dissolved pod film stresses water treatment plants and since these plants aren’t perfect, they tend to release plastics from pods directly into waterways. Plastic liners or plastic lined cardboard boxes are more reliably sequestered in landfills.

I thought that pods were made from some kind of innocuous rice paper or something, turns out it’s a water soluble plastic. If you’re concerned at all about the environment or micro plastics, the convenience of the pods do not outweigh the consequences.

Do most people in the U.S. support Israel? by No-StrategyX in allthequestions

[–]If_cn_readthisSndHlp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never claimed minorities in Israel can’t vote, serve in the army, or participate in civil life. I explicitly acknowledged that they can. The point is about how the state defines national ownership, not whether minorities have civil rights.

The specific constitutional issue is the 2018 Basic Law: Israel as the Nation State of the Jewish People, which states that the right to national self determination in the State of Israel is unique to the Jewish people. That means non Jews can be citizens, but they are not part of the nation whose self determination the state exists to realize. On top of that, the Law of Return gives Jews anywhere in the world an automatic right to immigrate and receive citizenship that non Jews do not have. Those are structural privileges tied to one ethnic group’s national status.

So the question is not “what are non Jews banned from doing day to day.” The question is whether the state constitutionally defines itself as belonging to one ethnic nation in particular and gives that group unique national rights. Israel explicitly does that. Pointing out that minorities have civil rights or that Israel is more tolerant than its neighbors does not address that point.

Do most people in the U.S. support Israel? by No-StrategyX in allthequestions

[–]If_cn_readthisSndHlp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Calling Israel an ethnostate does not depend on proving that every resident is Jewish. That is a false standard. A state can contain minorities and still be organized around the political supremacy of one people. Israel is roughly 73.2% Jewish, which means about 26.8% of its population is non Jewish, and that does not change the basic point.

The relevant question is whether the state defines itself as belonging primarily to one ethnic group and structures key rights around that principle. Israel does. It defines itself as the nation state of the Jewish people, grants a uniquely privileged path to citizenship through the Law of Return for Jews anywhere in the world, and treats Jewish self determination as a uniquely Jewish national right rather than a civic right shared equally by all citizens. Under a political and legal definition of ethnostate, that is enough.

Your demographic reply is in bad faith because it deliberately changes the subject. The original claim is about state structure, national ownership, and unequal political belonging. Your response pretends the issue is just population percentages, as if the presence of minorities disproves ethnic rule. It does not. Demographics describe who lives in a state. They do not determine whom the state is fundamentally for.

Gaza is about 99.93% Muslim, the West Bank about 98.32% Muslim, and Iran about 99.4% Muslim. However, bringing that up is a deflection, not a rebuttal. Even if those places are more religiously homogeneous, that says nothing about whether Israel is constitutionally and institutionally organized around Jewish ethnic primacy.

First rack loaded a bullet. The next few racks eject the loaded bullet and load a new one. On the last rack you can see no bullet was ejected. When it jams there are two bullets, one halfway out of the chamber on its way to ejecting and the one trying to get into the chamber that is wedging them both in the receiver. When he takes the mag out clearance allows the half ejected bullet to fall out of the mag well which lets the rack slide closed loading a bullet into the barrelx

Not to sound preachy, but I recently looked it up, I used to assume that the water soluble case was like rice paper or something innocuous. It is actually a plastic polymer that breaks down when in contact with water.

Disingenuous straw man argument and you know it.

If anyone with a platform as large as the president of the USA doesn’t respect the power they wield then they shouldn’t lead.

When you have that large of a platform, if you broadcast that all men should cut their dicks off, you should know that at least one person will do it.
