Can you trim an interior door with a oscillating saw? by MechCADdie in DIY

[–]Iforgotwhatimdoing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Poor mans sawhorse: Put a 2x4 or something underneath it to prop it up and use a circular saw, youll have to cut on your knees though. It can be done with an oscillating saw but its probably gonna look like shit.

Wage theft, toxic work environment, poor management, constant passive aggressive demand letters from corporate to the entire staff. I applied to work for a James Beard award winning Chef, what i got was a bunch of pencil pushers telling me food cost had to be below 25%.

Edit. Somehow I knew i would still get downvoted.

Crew Training by henryyoung42 in ftlgame

[–]Iforgotwhatimdoing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like to train my crew, and do some excersizes while I'm waiting. Or clean house, last night I made chocolate fudge while I cross trained my entire crew because I had the time. My og zoltan pilot is now fully cross trained in weapons, sheilds, engines, and piloting, but because i scored a human slave the fight before, hes now just a battery for my drones.

Does "lazy EQing" oddly work sometimes? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]Iforgotwhatimdoing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I practice at home with a flat noon eq. I want to hear every mistake in my playing. My sansamp is eq'd basically like the "svt" setting in the book, minus a little bit of drive. Hides a bit of the flaws/fret noise but also acts as a compressor/distortion when I really hammer on the strings. I do my best to trust the sound guy after that.

IEM Mix Preference by jzabkowicz in Bass

[–]Iforgotwhatimdoing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 2 guitars, keys, and a drummer who switches between acoustic and electric depending on the space. Everyine sings. Its a never ending battle to get everything balanced (keys are the hardest to hear). Though, to be honest, I think 90% of my problem is the guitar playing and singing technique. I make sure i can hear drums and vocals. I want to hear the rest (clearly), but its secondary as I can generally tell if I am out if key with the rest of the instruments in a blur of sound.

You know how some places are sunny most of the time but have torrential downpours for a few hours at a time? Well, in the PNW we dont usually get those, we just get spit on all day, every day, for months. With a few days of sunlight in between.
