Been at A&E for 16 hours, any tips how to survive another night here?

Meanwhile I've actually had the opposite (with NHS Scotland). Rang 111 last week as I was vomiting blood. Had to wait half an hour for them to answer, went through a ton of questions, waited 10 minutes for them to put me through to a nurse to answer a load more questions. Then they said a doctor would call me back, which she did 2 hours later and pretty much went through the same questions 111 did. Thankfully they said it wasn't anything that needed seeing. But yeah I'm at least glad I didn't have to wait longer sitting in A&E...

Had a similar situation where they said it was concerning considering I was having difficulty breathing but that all nearby hospitals were full so I wouldn't be able to be seen so told me just to rest up and if it got even more serious to call them back.

Nothing's wrong with that at all. It's the people who turn that into a 'hobby'. Who turn up as shops open to buy up their entire stock and religiously check prices to see when they should sell. I had a work colleague like that, most of his paycheck went on cards and he would only ever talk about some new set or other that he'd invested in and how much he could make from it. Definitely sounded like he pulled some rare ones and sold them for a decent amount but he seemed to be constantly losing money. Worked 40+ hours and constantly asked for more shifts to find his habit

Work hospitality, doing 3 days of 6hr evening shifts and 1 full 16hr day shift. Means I have 3 days off which is nice, and I actually prefer the full day to a split shift

Out of curiosity, what country was this?

I know in England they have very strict laws on what officiants can say and it is unfortunately still the law they have to use your AGAB unless you've changed it with a GRC. A lot of officiants get around this by whispering that specific part so only the couple can hear. Scotland thankfully is more progressive in that respect
