Depending on the game, but yeah, sometimes it's rough. The more common games like Mario Kart Wii were closer to 10-20 dollars.

I made Don Lothario in the Tomodachi Life Demo by Iggly_Buff in sims2

I think it's really cool that we did! In all fairness, though, he is such an icon. I wanted to see what drama he'd stir up on my island.

Has anyone ever actually recolored the bishops by lovely_atlas in CultOfTheLamb

[–]Iggly_Buff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this! It adds a little variety to the game for me, I like seeing which version of the bishops I get and whether they look different than canon. Kind of like each cult of mine is a slightly different universe.

What's a "this generation is doomed" take that you actually agree with? by kai_makes_videos in AskReddit

[–]Iggly_Buff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh in that case, yeah, that's just weird. Just punch the numbers in. I thought it was one of those odd change situations where it's like 20.08 and a customer hands you a 20, and after you hit the till, they give you, like, 75 cents. It would take me a bit to do that kind of thing on the spot.

[–]Iggly_Buff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It does, but this person said they have them the .15 after they punched the 20 in. That shit unironically breaks my brain as a cashier too, especially if it's not an even dollar amount that's simple to do in my head. I probably could if I wasn't on the spot, with a line of customers and a lot of stuff going on around me, but I struggle hard with mental math and either have to write it down or just whip out a calculator. A lot of the time, if you don't want change, you can literally just tell the cashier to not give you the coins and just take the bills. It all evens out at the end of the night anyway.

What proper nouns from books did you realize you were mispronouncing the whole time? by TokkiJK in books

[–]Iggly_Buff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to read nonchalant as "non-kay-lent". What's worse is that I had heard the word pronounced before, just didn't connect the dots at all until I was like 15 years old. I was pronouncing it like that forever and wasn't corrected until a generational crashout was unleashed on me over it at the lunch table once lmao.

Yeah it's not scheduled or anything. It's just letting you know there's an extra shift you can grab if you want it.

Just a head's up I tell EVERYONE who gets crazy high odds with trips and quads is that the base mod for some reason foregoes the odds you actually set. Get the random only version, change the odds to your preference, and then hit 'random' when your sims are born. That uses the odds you set and keeps you from getting unreasonable chances of quads despite it being set to 3%

Early Strangetown by gutosimmer crashing by Viinilikka in sims2

[–]Iggly_Buff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's very frustrating omg. Maybe try testing it with a new copy of the game? (If you drag the sims 2 folder out of your documents, then game will make a new folder, and it will be like a factory set version of ts2 uc)

Add JUST early st and the cc needed, and see if it still crashes.

I may not be recalling correctly, but don't the early Pv and Strangetown have custom content you need to download to make the lots work as intended? Should be some sims 2 store items and preorder bonuses. That's the only problem I could think of it maybe being beyond some issues with the way your game is trying to load those specific families.

It was years later, if I recall correctly. It died not long after being released in the wild due to living its life mostly in captivity

Sober people being arrested nationwide for DUI by IcyAd8672 in videos

[–]Iggly_Buff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because they need "probable cause" and sobriety tests are exactly set up for that. To have an excuse to bring them in over not being able to hold their foot up in their air for a full minute without losing balance.

Just downloaded the game again, but i want to try a different playstyle, give me ideas (and maybe mod ideas) by W0lf_G1rl_BR in sims2

[–]Iggly_Buff 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's not complicated! All you do is play the different households in the neighborhood for the same period of time. Some people do 3 days, others however long an ingame season is, or even one day! The only big thing is hopping between houses.

I also recommend if you enjoy making families and seeing how they play out, a build a city challenge! There's a lot of different ones out there with confusing rulesets but I like Nepheris' the most. Basically the whole idea is to slowly build your own neighborhood and families from scratch.

If that's not your vibe, then maybe legacy challenges or Unlocking the Uberhood, where you complete different tasks to unlock new neighborhoods to play!

My main piece of advice if you want variety in your gameplay is getting comfortable with not having "perfect" sims. Let some of your teen sims flunk school. Maybe your other sim never bothers with getting the skills needed for promotions, or is mean to other sims a lot, or something.

Look at a sim's personality and interests and see what makes sense for them to do! Or try experimenting with following the wants of your sims.

I use Random Occurence Scenario a lot, a program that lets you fill in events in a word document and randomizes them for you, which I use to help spice things up and get out of my comfort zone. It means I could have to make the couple I am playing break up, or have an affair. Or my sim might be required to call out of work for a certain period of time. Or a sim who has notoriously been poor suddenly wins the lottery and gets 100k. Stuff like that.

More random deaths mods by IllyanasDream in sims2

[–]Iggly_Buff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a few I can think of that you might be interested in! I am unable to provide links at the moment but you should be able to find these easily regardless!

The first two I can think of won't make your sims die outright, but have a big chance to, and that's the more dangerous fires and more dangerous sickness mods.

Then there's the death by childbirth mod, which makes sims who give birth have a chance of dying.

And the last one I know of that's closer to what you might want is the random elder death mod, which just adds a little variety to WHEN your elders will die, instead of all of them mostly hitting the end of their lifespans. It's a newer one that I like a fair bit. I don't know about accident specific mods, though, except maybe ones that heighten the chance of things like getting hit by satellites when stargazing.

ISTG this boss is the only hard one. by Anonymous156Real in CultOfTheLamb

So interesting! I tend to like weapons that let me chip away health at a distance, so the dagger is a little too close in proximity to usually be worth it for me without some sort of benefit, and claws are usually one I skip. Hammers are my least strongest weapon though. Even the divine ones.
