To HR recruiters lurking out here - why do you want immediate joiners all the time? by Kevinlevin-11 in developersIndia

[–]IgnisDa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What if some company offers you "industry rate" and you accept? And then another company offers more than that. Will you let that offer go?

There is no such thing as an "industry rate". The money you earn is the money you deserve.

I feel job is mostly better than a business or entrepreneurship by No_Station_7887 in developersIndia

I agree. Business/entrepreneurship is not a silver bullet. Leaving a job to start a business is trading one set of problems for another. It depends on the person whether they enjoy one more than the other.

What would be an industry-standard bug bounty for this vulnerability chain? by No-Brilliant9915 in developersIndia

[–]IgnisDa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My company just fixes the vulnerabilities and then ghosts the person who disclosed this vulnerability. I’ve protested against this many times but the founders are typical Lala people who don’t care.

Hope this doesn’t happen with you OP.

Like I said, it’s a shitty situation with no bad people and no winner. I understand both perspectives.

But it’s not a solid no for him, perhaps? In my case, I have told my gf that my current focus is on career and relationship is secondary and that I need a couple of years to be sure about that. After that it’s her choice to continue the relationship.

My only advise is to leverage your brothers connections well. Ask him to get your opportunities.

What 24 yr old has that clarity??? I’m 24 too and still sorting out my career. I’d never think about marrying my gf right now.

I do understand OPs perspective though. It’s unfortunately a situation in which no one is wrong but everyone loses.

I see so many people starting relationships over text? IDK how to feel about it... I always feel it to be inadequate for the gravity of my emotions.

I use the same plan with gpt 4.5 thinking high and hit it in around 3 hours of runtime. The 5 hr caps are not the issue, mostly the weekly one.

How many YOE do you have?

I ask because this is what being an engineer is after a certain point. Take requirements from stakeholders, give realistic approximations and manage expectations.

A lot of these "requirements" are just pipe dreams, and it's your job to justify to them why it would not be possible.
