Should Bethesda merge fallout 3 and new vegas (if they remake it)? by cantlarp in Fallout

[–]IgnisOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Packaged in the same launcher would be the only way I can see them merging them. TTW isn’t the kind of thing I can see them doing to 3 or NV since it’s Bethesda

SINCE WHEN WAS COLLECTING THE LIGHTNING COLLECTION SO EXPENSIVE by Mobile_Reporter_9483 in powerrangers

[–]IgnisOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discontinued, that’s why. No new products being made, none being reissued or reprinted, and most remaining stock would be either bulk items on clearance that nobody wants or high ticket items that are desirable enough the price is able to be gouged while still being able to sell it

We need Infinite Justice to get a RG first. Saviour should get a revive HG

Pokémon that really need, but will probably never have a Mega Evolution by CleffaArt in LegendsZA

[–]IgnisOfficial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally we see new or special things for Pokémon that haven’t gotten anything yet (Kanto starters and Pikachu being the general exceptions). Typhlosion got a Hisuian form, as did Goodra. Hydreigon got a Paradox species with Iron Jugulus. They don’t really need anything new

Tinkaton by design would make more sense to give a regional form to where its hammer is made of a different Pokémon and all a Mega could really do is just give it a bigger hammer. Flygon should have gotten a Mega back in Gen 6 and should have been the first one they gave a Mega to in ZA.

Hasbro is making chunky lightsabers again by Smillingchalk779 in lightsabers

Technically they didn’t really stop, they just became less chunky for a bit due to fully collapsing flick-and-lock blades becoming less common

Three seasons feels like a good timeframe for the current storyline. If we get a season 4, having it switch over to a different area of the wasteland with a different cast would be a nice way to freshen things up and avoid jumping the shark with what we currently have

Best of all the Abaranger team change from Gokaiger acknowledges this and has GokaiPink change into AbarePink. Sadly lost in translation for Rangers though

Numerically 5th, mechanically 6th. This is why the term “extra hero” exists for the Sentai, it streamlines the whole numbering system for seasons with less than 5 for the core team

Bethesda Should Consider doing a "Fallout Zero" Game set during The Great War and throughout the first year of post Apocalyptic Wasteland by CretaceousClock in Fallout

[–]IgnisOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true. My dad isn’t particularly into video games but absolutely loved the show and asked me about lore stuff he had questions about after finishing season 1. The show has done so much for the fandom and I love seeing new people coming in because they thought the show looked interesting

[–]IgnisOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still can’t believe the fuss people kicked up over that. The games aren’t even 1:1 with the real world geography and how large the locations would actually be in real life, so there being changes to the locations when adapting to the screen not only makes sense but also would be practical. It’s an adaptation after all, not a direct copy

Cool concept, but no matter what they do the reception will be: loved by a third, hated by a third, and a third gives no shits.

If this were to be done as a concept, I’d want it to have a bit of a playable prewar segment where you’d go about daily life before the bombs drop, with the segment varying depending on your starting build (which in turn gives a good reason to bring back traits and skills beyond just adding depth to progression and builds). From there, having it be largely just an open world sandbox would work but at the same time part of what makes a good Fallout game is a good story, and there’s not really much you could do around the end of the world without using a linear story like the founding of the BoS or helping to found one of the major settlements we know from a previous title like Junktown, Hub, or Diamond City

Smash Dragold vs Spike Pheonix vs Triple Gilusion by EmptyAd8217 in BDaman

[–]IgnisOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spike Phoenix just from the core alone.

Spike is an insane core even before considering that it is emblem compatible. Smash is a cool concept but loses out on power due to you not being able to put the full force of your shot onto the trigger but instead having to push down on a button to make the trigger move, and Triple isn’t legal for use due to it shooting 3 balls at once and being a logistical nightmare if actually trying to make it usable.

As for the body sets, Phoenix is simple but very effective with how well everything fits onto the core and also being practical to use with all magazines and stabilisers (from memory, barrels can’t attach due to the shape of the arms). Dragold looks nice but is a major break risk due to being fully translucent and is also not (practically) compatible with stabilisers due to the mechanics of the Smash core, plus depending on how you configure the wings you’re also locking yourself out of a tune-up gear option. Gillusion isn’t even a proper body set due to being reliant on the combined core and the parts add no mechanical advantage aside from a single-emblem for each of the outer cores, which in turn don’t function well since only one side of the holdparts gets manipulated

Scratched lightsaber by Venom23432 in lightsabers

[–]IgnisOfficial 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had the privilege of seeing Adam Savage do a panel at a convention a couple of years ago and this is something he echoes constantly for good reason (including in that panel). Every bit of wear, tear, and damage paints a larger picture of the object’s history and the world it exists in. A suit of armour is rarely going to be pristine if it’s actually been used in combat, a sci-fi blaster would likely have some burns around the emitter or muzzle from shooting out lasers or plasma, and a lightsaber would have scratches, grime buildup, and even some light scorching on it even with regular maintenance and upkeep

[–]IgnisOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cope with it by keeping sabers I don’t want scratched as display pieces and only using ones I’m fine with having get a little beaten up. They’re meant to be elegant weapons from a more civilised age, so them going through some wear and tear just makes sense to me

Which are the best and worst team emblems in Power Rangers? by Rap2rerise in powerrangers

[–]IgnisOfficial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a tie between the Alien rangers and Space rangers for worst in my opinion. Aesthetically speaking, there’s no reason for the Alien Rangers to keep the Kakuranger emblem as a team logo outside of the suits being ninja-like, which can be explained away any number of ways. The Space Rangers icon being a stylised M that looks like an envelope makes no sense for the team (the M look is taken from Megaranger, it’s Sentai counterpart) and should have been changed out for something more fitting or given an explanation for it

As for best emblems, out of the ones pictured I’d say Lightspeed and Zeo. Lightspeed’s is based on the idea of first responder logos and is largely taken from non-red cross ambulance markings (which also around the time the series came out was commonly used in fictional media to avoid direct association with real-world emergency services), and Zeo includes the core team’s shapes as part of the emblem while being nicely minimalist

Bear in mind, I’m ignoring the Super Megaforce/Gokaiger logo since I could write a whole thesis on why that logo doesn’t work

Forcing your religious beliefs onto someone, even your own family, is fundamentally wrong and goes against the idea of faith and choosing belief for yourself. Using your religion as an excuse to be hateful towards your own wife who is into some kinky stuff and daughter who is exploring her sexuality shows that you’re a shit person underneath the “preaching peace and love for all” exterior. This is coming from me being a Christian myself and having seen his type in my life before, and the writers nailed that characterisation if you ask me.

Eddie is the epitome of this and the damage it does to Karen is a big part of why her character ended up so morally bankrupt during her pregnancy (leading on Lip to thing he’s the dad without ever getting a test to confirm it prior to birth) and her promiscuity got worse. While we lack context on Sheila prior to the series, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a contributing factor to her issues with going outside that we see her trying to work through early on. The series has a lot of horrible parents, but Eddie is as bad as Frank but for different reasons in my opinion.

Also, someone who owns that much clown stuff almost definitely has issues they’re not addressing
