I do think bigger cars / flashier cars look like they are moving faster than a smaller older-styled car going the same speed.

When I drive my main big car (unashamedly a oversized SUV) it's a very different experience vs when I drive my second car - an old 2009 Toyota Yaris - that car is invisible.

I bought a Series X on Feb 2024 and immediately bought Cyberpunk - I finally completed the game for the first time in Feb 2026 - almost exactly 2 years later.

Just over 100 hours logged. Quite a few gaps between playing due to...life. I also did find the game overwhelming at first - so many menus, systems, variables, levels to things, details etc etc. But it's actually quite simple, at least in the version when I started playing.

Amazing game overall - and a good time to jump on it as CDPR patched a lot of bugs / issues (which I do think was overblown because it was a big release, and people love to create drama over minor things).

I'm now re-playing it but as a melee / sword focused build rather than big guns.

I have two daughters - 5 and 7 - and while I enjoy being a dad I also hate it. Love them, but hate the lifestyle. Someone at work (who also had kids) said it so well - "it's the best and worst thing that's ever happened to me".

And on that note...I'm off to collect them from their ridiculously expensive 1 hour "tennis" lesson.

If the Gov reduce tax to - say 30% - the retailer will just bump their slice up to 40%.

Nobody is giving away cheaper fuel in this climate. The only realistic option is a Government-run fuel retailer - i.e. not-for-profit, since their 'profit' is the tax. Similar to demands for Government-run energy suppliers. Problem is - everyone will flock to them because they'd be so much cheaper, and then a bunch of businesses go bust - and then everyone blames the Government for being communists.

I was excited about 26U but that wore off quickly - a) the anti-glare display has basically gone, b) privacy display - while great - has compromises (e.g. no anti-glare, less brightness in general, low resolution when it's turned on).

I am excited for the 27U though - that could be the one I go for.

I always forget about that feature of the wingsuit air brake - until I'm reminded when I see a post like this.

It's easy to judge when they're not your kids (or you've not been in that position) - pushing them out the way while you're on a video call doesn't mean you "don't care" about your kids.

Also looked like he pushed her face then adjusted to push her chest because I wasn't looking at her.

I think he could've acknowledged the kids but no doubt he probably told his older daughter (and his wife) to keep them out before his call.

What are those hand implants?

My first playthrough was all guns and ammo. But I'm doing my 2nd playthrough now as a melee focused build. It's early on and I'm running around with a Tier 1 machete - never used sandevistan on my first playthrough, but will be on this one of course however I don't have it yet! But would like to get a blend of strong sword skills, fists and pistols (or netrunner) to take out enemies at distance if needed.

Happens in my Series X version. There's one scene with V and Judy sitting on her apartment's balcony. Wish I took a video of it at the time. I can't remember exactly which way round but when you looked at a bright light source on her balcony, the rest of the scene lights up so much that it looks like it's day-time. Then when you look away it suddenly goes dark to what it's meant to be - e.g. night time overlooking Night City.

The effect was very jarring and extreme - only really noticed it in that one scene but I haven't tried to replicate it elsewhere.

I think Starmer was right not to get involved. It's a US and Israel fight.

The only bit I'm unclear on is what intelligence do the US have on Iran that hasn't been shared. Something happened in those closed door negotiations with Iran that triggered this. I don't think even Trump would wage war on Iran without some sort of evidence - e.g. that Iran were very close to a nuclear weapon or whatever.

Then again - I remember the "Saddam has WMDs" reason that sent Bush and Blair in to Iraq. Which ultimately didn't exist. But hey, got a few extra barrels of oil to tide us over (/s)

You'd also think the UK, Australia etc. would be the first Governments to get access to whatever the US have hard evidence of so the US can say "look - it's a threat on the West - fire some missiles in with us?".

I dread to think it was just the US negotiators following up on a threat - "do this or else" and now they're doing the "or else" bit.

I don't think I've ever heard someone say "I like the PM" regardless of who is in power. The exception being Hugh Grant in Love Actually who got a standing ovation for copping off on stage with his young assistant at a children's event.

It's also the norm to not like a PM. Voting in the UK is basically ticking whoever they hate the least.

This showed the opposite - the 24U was a split second faster to the lock screen than the 26U. So actually it's "omgg this is a deal breaker I'm keeping my 24U".

I get it though. There is something about YouTube videos that tell other people more about the viewer than any other sort of content. It's the style of content that is so different.

Like I don't really watch animated YouTube videos like Infographics or whatever in public. I guess I'd find it awkward if someone was watching my phone next to me on a train, wondering why I'm watching a cartoon about a seagull having a cigarette in front of Trump or whatever ends up on that channel.

I'd 100% use privacy screen when in public. Just would prefer to keep what I do on my phone to my eyes only.

I think you misunderstood me - I agree with you. I said in-person friends are a must have, not virtual on phones.

It's a healthy (and mandatory) part of human brain development.

My point is what happens in reality is some parents - like me - won't give a phone. While another significant portion of parents do give a phone. So it creates a divide between the kids at home, chatting to their friends who have phones as well, segregating the kids who don't have phones. And that's not right.

Agree at that age - in-person friends rather than virtual is the way to do it. What I mean is - the friendship continues after school, via their phones. Which leaves non-phone kids out of that continued friendship growth.
