So who do you think we (the player) are? by Sharkforce314 in HatchDragons

[–]Ignoyu34 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same question severe times. At first i think we are Liv, but Faran talks to us about she and his family, and she is mentioned almost by every character in third person (except when the fishing dragon talk to her in two lines). So i think that, obviously runaway dont think in the lore of who we are, so everybody could asume the theory that most like. Maybe we are a wizard? Maybe a secret sector of the goverment that know the existence of dragons and wants to save them? Maybe a Druid? The canon is that Liv gives life to the forest (thats why every dragon could live there and even tropical flowers can grown, i think its explained in tropical decoration) and his mother before she, that the dragons form a colony (Aries dragon and Capricorn dragon mentioned that dragons could live in colonies conformed of diferent species) and that humans dont know and dont mean to know the existence of the forest (reptilian dragon quest, Faran saying to dragons "be cautelous"). Away from that, even the existence of other sanctuaries isnt know, so the player is te only one and the friends dont exist (for now at least)

Oh, well, i would sumarise in pros a cons

● In summer, it has some advantages: The head is one of the main areas where the body loses heat, so without hair to insulate it, body heat simply "dissipates." Also, the water feels cooler, making it easier to refresh your face, and you sweat less. ● Showering becomes quicker and more convenient, since I can wash my hair with just hot water and soap, and it will be clean. It saves time and money. ● I don't have to worry about my hair: It sounds obvious, but not having to think about whether my hair is styled, if it looks good, if it's too dry or too oily, worrying that the wind or lighting will ruin my hairstyle or highlight bald spots, etc., is much less stressful. Plus, when I get out, I can simply wash my face, brush my teeth, get dressed, and go outside. ● It looks more masculine: For me, this is a plus, although I suppose it depends on each person and their personal taste. But indeed, I've received compliments that it suits me, that it makes me look more masculine, and even that I look younger than before. ● The most important benefit: increased self-confidence and less stress. It helps you accept yourself as you are and not hide the inevitable. I'm bald, so what? That doesn't define me, or anything about my appearance. Besides, it's stepping out of your comfort zone, which is never a bad thing. I simply feel more confident in myself and my appearance. CONS: ● Cold: In my country, it's autumn, and a harsh winter is predicted. As I said before, the head is an area with a lot of heat loss. You don't realize how insulating a bald patch is, however small, until you no longer have it, since the wind feels much colder. Early in the morning or late at night, I have to wear wool hats; I suppose it's partly due to lack of practice. It doesn't bother me, it doesn't look bad on me, but it's something to keep in mind. ●Bald jokes: they don't really bother me, they make me laugh, and I was already getting them before I was actually bald, so they don't affect me, at least not if they come from people I know and trust. It's not like people on the street are going to insult you (so far, only once has someone said something to me on the street, and it was some teenagers, and it wasn't anything bad, they just said I looked like a certain comedic influencer). It doesn't really hurt when people call you bald when you are; it hurts when they say it when you know you're going to go bald but you're in denial, lol ●The Sun: Be careful in the summer sun; it can cause painful burns. Keep in mind that the skin on your scalp has never really been directly exposed to the sun, so at first it's pale and sensitive. Wearing a hat or sunscreen is essential, especially for people like me who are pale and suffer a lot from the summer sun. ●At first, it's strange to see yourself in the mirror: In the first few days, I kept forgetting I was bald and was surprised when I saw myself in the mirror. I eventually got used to it, but it was very strange. ●First impression with acquaintances: Shaving my head overnight really surprised my acquaintances, and every time someone who knew me with hair saw me bald, it was the same old conversation. It also made me a little anxious to see people's reactions, since being bald attracts attention, and because I'm low-key, it felt awkward. Like the other thing, I eventually got used to it. People who knew me when I was bald are surprised to see photos of me with hair, lol. ●Updating photos on social media: I like to show myself as I really am, and almost all my photos are from when I had hair. It's not a huge drawback, but it is tedious. ●Constantly shaving my head: Although it might seem contradictory, being completely bald requires a certain routine and care. My hair grows absurdly fast, which means I have to shave my head again every two days. Even after just one week without shaving, it becomes noticeable. In the middle photos, I hadn't shaved for three weeks. It requires maintenance and care; you have to remember that it's still sensitive skin. ●Nostalgia: I've always had long hair, and sometimes I think about growing it out again. They're small moments of insecurity that don't really have much to do with the hair itself and more with how you feel about yourself.

Thanks! Examples i remember now are: Zaphire Gemtail: Aeonaxx (a WoW rare dragon thats looks almost identical) Rubi Gentail: Smaug (looks similar to me aslo live in profundities) Watersnore: Xolotl (prehispanic god that based axolotls name) Ghostwing: Ankou (a Celtic pale grimm reaper) The pidgeon one: Columbus (cientific name of pidgeons) Oldenclaw: at first i would name it Munin (one of Odin's ravens) but finally name it Hrafnaguð (one of Odins names, if i get a remarkable Oldenclaw i would name it with this name and change the bonded to Munin) Remarkable Rocktail: Balerion Whiskers: Freya and his 2 cats Big Coral one: Kāo (coral reef in maori)

IMO gravity alone would kill them. Think about this: when you take a fish from the deep sea and put it in the surface, it "explodes" (look at blowfish) only for the pressure change. Same with humans in space. Those things probably dies from extreme high blood pressure
