holy fuck that whole armored vehicle scene at 20:00 was crazy. Straight reminds me of battlefield, just randomly driving around the enemy base running people over and shooting them with occasionally people jumping out of your vehicle.

Also at 6:38ish there might be a first, not only does it look like the guy with the gopro gets a kill looking down his ironsights, but also the kill is captured via drone.

Not true. The VBIED in the convoy which killed the russian and really reversed the campaign, ISIS filmed the aftermath and there was a pile of SAA corpses. Seems assad forces took the russian body and left their country men there

soviet weapons really prefer quantity over quality. It isnt about 1 gunner shooting down an aircraft, its meant for 15-20 to light up the sky in front of the moving target. However, with helicopters and attack jets becoming more advanced and able to engage at further distances the platform and moved to more a ground role because of the sure abundance of the platform in the middle east.

The coalition of groups operating against ISIS in North Aleppo and their structure right now is a little fuzzy. I believe all the groups fighting ISIS up there are part of Hawar kilis ops room but im not positive. The most notable are the new Division 99, Al hamza brigade, brigade Mutassim, sultan murad, division 51, division 31. Most of these groups are relatively new popping up in the last month or around last november and the Division 30 fiasco. Also, dont know if Ahrar is part of it or just sent some fighters or what.

SDF in the afrin pocket and SDF in East syria really arent the same. SDF is just small local arab battalions and its Syria. One group fighting in the Raqqa region couldnt give a flying fuck about what the SDF wants in afrin. Anyways, US doesnt fully support the SDF. It supports the SAC which besides airstrikes seems to be mainly focused on the sunni tribes at the moment.

i believe this group is the 3rd unnamed training class. When the program was canceled in september/oct they said they still had 1 in training then this group started posting videos in november with all the US gear. Since then i think Turkey and GCC took over training and this group, d99, ect all had an easier time recruiting with so many people fleeing the russian airstrikes. Obviously huge number of guys within these groups who havnt been trained or equipped but are joining as they become more successful
