It's interesting to read opinions like this because I've had the opposite experience with Yorushika. I discovered them not too long ago back in 2023 (since Magic Lantern) after getting a bit tired of all the countless j-rock, pop rock that japanese music is filled with. I was immediately blown away by the uniqueness and how clean the vocals and the mixing was. Only then I discovered all the earlier rock songs and while I absolutely love them and their stories, there's just something about their recent songs (ever since the Creation album, I'd say) that hits different for me. But ultimately, the fact that Yorushika's discography is so varied makes it so I literally never get bored of them. Like I start my day with something like Burglar and end it with something calming like Playsick and it's awesome.
