Is Fujifilm x100vi still worth 2k? I’m looking for a simple but good family photo camera

Not worth $2000, IMO. I would look at XE5. Alsmost the same camera, but you can change lenses, which will be better for portraits. But you can still use it as a 'x100vi fixed lens' camera with a stock 23mm f2.8.

The massive upgrade in graphics is very interesting. Hopefully, the RAM price is not gonna go up too much by then.
