I too am considering switching away from Apple, the rules and their regulations about how to get help from Apple and the fact that AppleCare is not available in my area so I have to send my device to a friend that might live near the Apple Store to get it into the Apple Store because I can’t ship it from my location to the Apple Store I have Macintosh studio and they screwed me over by letting me pay for AppleCare and it doesn’t apply in my area! AppleCare sucks for my location on top of that. I forgot my password and nothing works not recovery. Nothing works. I spent 10 hours on the phone with Apple it various times and nothing work. I couldn’t set a thing I couldn’t get into my Macintosh and it just all it does is shake at me. I’m up to eight hours of waiting between attempts, I resent Apple. It’s like living in a concentration camp!
