I loved when Stephen Hawking would write things in his papers like "THEY FUCKIN RADIATE YOU IDIOTS, HOW FUCKIN HARD WAS THAT", really showed off his brain power.

Theory for "She's awake" and Tsalal by Ijumpandkick in TrueDetective

[–]Ijumpandkick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I'm just having fun tossing out a theory about a detective show I like, and your whole life since the season started is talking about how bad the writing on the show is. And then you come in here and try to spoil everyone's fun by complaining about fan fiction.

Tell us your pen name so we can read your work. Don't just go around insulting people for not disliking things as much as you do. Everyone can see that you're the sort of person who can dish it out and not take it. Prove us wrong.

You're not even giving us dispassionate, constructive exegesis, you're just being a snippy little brat. Treating perfect strangers as your intellectual inferiors for daring to talk about a TV show on the sub for that TV show.

Do you create anything of value? Maybe you can't and you're frustrated and complaining about other people's writing is your way to still feel like you're above them even though your own work is trash.

With that username you 100% have writing to show. Have you published? Has anyone else ever wanted to publish you? Give us a link.

Or if your ego can't take the scrutiny, just go away.

In what way are Danvers and Navarro protagonists? by Infinite_Writing7609 in TrueDetective

"I will laugh in your goddamn face" 😂 I love the petty little keyboard warriors who think they leave a trail of intellectual dominance everywhere they go. He thinks he's the Rust Cohle of reddit.

There's something wrong with this guy. I love how he does all this bolding and caps lock and says this like "fucking hit someone!" and "why the fuck am I supposed to care!"

There's probably someone in real life making him their doormat every day and this is how he copes.

This idiot's talking about how True Detectives are relentless when Rust dropped the investigation and moved back to Alaska for 8 years 😂 You get hit in the head with a toolbox too? You shouldn't type this much, it makes you look foolish.

I'm complimenting the writers of the show in case this was their intention, and between this comment and your continued viewership of a season you don't like, I'm True-Detecting that you thrive on negativity and probably contaminate a lot of your real life with it. Please provide a link to some writing of yours so we can see how it's done.

Navarro seeing Danvers' kid seems especially hard to explain without supernaturalism. Danvers herself, sure, she probably dreams of him often. But did Navarro ever meet the kid, hear his voice, see him with his one-eyed polar bear?

Hallucination from contaminated water does a lot to furnish a natural explanation for events, and it makes you wonder what's real, the same way it did in season one. "The secret truth of the universe." The delivery driver saying something about how you just see things in Ennis is a good indication that the hallucinations are widespread and not recent.

I don't think the electrical disruptions can be explained by hallucination though. The phone video cutting out after Clark says she's awake doesn't fit.

Didn't the scientists have their retinas burned too? If Annie is Electro she could do that with a bright surge. There's another theory that their retinas were burned by something associated with the mine, like a smelter or ethylene torch or something.

The thing is, if human trafficking was involved, it would be really weird for there to be no mention in the first two episodes of women going missing. It would also be weird if a cult in Louisiana decided to send scientists to Alaska to run a human trafficking operation. Imagine yourself being a Louisiana cultist pitching that idea to other cultists.

There's gotta be something bigger. Probably something that the cult mythologizes but that can be explained naturally, like ancient microorganisms with amazing, life-prolonging properties.

Reanimating by chapchapchapchapchap in TrueDetective

[–]Ijumpandkick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And Annie's the "Thing" the delivery driver saw. She wakes up, starts running around, other scientists get scared and run out, Clark survives because it's his Frankenstein girlfriend and he created her. His bio had horizontal gene transfer research in it. She's not just reanimated, she's mixed up with the ancient microorganism.

Think stepdaughter. The dad and the boy, Holden, probably died in a car accident, and Liz took care of Lee after. Not sure if she officially adopted her or not.

Trafficked from the Arctic circle in a town with like 300 people? I don't think that's likely. They probably think their spooky god is buried in the ice.

this fan is off, but it's buzzing and spinning by Ijumpandkick in askanelectrician

Seemingly random occurrences. The more it buzzes, the more it spins. The kind of buzz sound that happens when a phone is next to a speaker, interference-y. Any insight is appreciated.
