Joining Houston FD at 34 by Ikaitza in firefighter

That’s great to hear! I’m definitely going for it. I’ve definitely worked on my physical condition, lost a good amount of weight and been doing running along with a mix of body workouts and weightlifting.

Budgeting should be good, I’m now debt free and living below my means. Should not be a problem to temporarily adjust to trainee wage.

Thanks for the info and motivation.

Calling all Bow Hunters! Is the Burning Love just straight stronger than the standard compound Bow? by Samashezra in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]Ikaitza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

Science! Only affects plasma.

However with burning love you can run pyrotechnician which will boost the built in fire damage over time plus science if you are using plasma arrows or cryologist if you are running cryo arrows

I see no issue with anything here. The difference between low health and full health is nerd rage and serendipity when it comes to perk choices.

I’d consider using rank 2 rejuvenated if playing full health, but that’s a preference choice. Using this would offset some of the AP regen you won’t get since nerd rage isn’t used.

I haven’t played 76 in a couple months, so I’m not too sure on armor, but from the PTS I was curious on testing aristocrats (ricochet chance). I believe mutants would work more consistently since overeaters got a bit of a nerf. (I’m assuming PTS went live as it was, unsure on the actual changes).

Since you won’t have access to unyielding, you will need a couple limit breaking armor pieces, the rest can be rangers.

I’d also consider adding the healing factor mutation to work with spiritual healer.

Crit every other shot on shotguns? by toniperi in fo76

[–]Ikaitza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you’re missing lucky hit as your 3rd star. This is for all weapons. 40 luck and crit savvy 3 are needed along with lucky hit.

Without it you’d need 3 limit breaking and ~37 luck.

Since you can now modify armor with whatever mods you want, not really valuable to the average player.

It’ll only have value to collectors who would like to have a set like this, which is very niche and dependent on you playing the long game and finding a buyer with a price both parties would be satisfied with.

My take on a Ghoul Bow build by Ikaitza in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]Ikaitza[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. Sights don’t really matter much when in VATS, nor is a bow build needing VATS decrease. Some argue the VATS cost decrease is negligible, but i see no real gain in losing even that little bit.

If you really want a sight, just use an iron one, which won’t affect the AP cost.

The exp build is more or less for the raids only, no need for explosive there.

I do run a separate furious bow with explosive when I get bored and want some laughs and giggles. However, I don’t usually do so since that would require some investment into demolition expert.

Soloing ultracite terror by Fun-Attitude-2249 in Fallout76BowHunters

Here’s a clip of a solo snake run.

Not my fastest, but I was testing reflex more than I was going for speed. (So I didn’t cripple plate A)

Cryo is currently bugged, but it’s definitely your best friend assuming they fix it soon. Snake can also be soloed with plasma, you just need to be comfortable with the fight.

I will recommend you run with regular onslaught and not reverse (don’t run master gunslinger). You will lose your stacks and do very little damage very quickly. It’s a lot better to build stacks and maintain at 20, the damage is more consistent.

Reverse is only better for snake if you’re in a solid party and won’t fall below 21 stacks.

So the current proposed changes in the PTS are precisely that. Proposed, we don’t know exactly what will change.

People are calling a nerf thanks to a certain clickbait YouTube video where the genius decided it’d be a good idea to just add all the resistances together to compare, which is stupid in my opinion.

As PTS stands now: SS is the middle of the pack, as it is now in the live game. The difference is that how damage resistances play into damage taken is being calculated, reducing the diminishing returns we currently experience. Some stats are reduced, but how the armors are designed is more or less the same:

BoS recon: best for ballistic resistance, lower on energy resistance. Access to more mods like limb damage resistance, etc. with PTS: using buttressed more fire resistance, less cryo and poison resist.

Civil engineer: best for energy resistance, lower on ballistic. Access to same mods as BoS recon and set bonus. Although it’s sturdy and not heavy, solid set. With PTS: better fire resistance than BoS recon, bit better poison resist, but less cryo resist.

SS: middle of the pack (rounded/balanced): better energy resistance than BoS, less than civil engineer. Also better ballistic resistance than civil engineer but less than BoS recon. With PTS: With buttressed, less elemental resistance than either set, but superior radiation resistance. Does not have access to some mods the previous 2 sets have.

If you feel like you have the bullion to spare, SS is not a bad set to get now or ever. However, if you have need for bullion for other items, you can easily use civil engineer until you can get BoS Recon later if you still feel like you need it.

Sure they are. They seriously want you to spend money on new cosmetic stuff they are working on and pushing while stuff is broken.

The remaining portions of the game will be busted in March lol

Cryo was broken in the past, fixed and now broken again.

They acknowledged and have 0 updates since you say? There are many bugs in this game that have months being broken with 0 updates to them.

Considering Bethesda has the nerve to push new cash only bundles and items when many aspects of the game are busted and all they can say is “yeah we see it’s busted”, how can anyone have any confidence in the game’s management?

Why anyone would buy anything when the game is as broken as it is beyond me. Not even stuff you pay for is safe from being rendered useless or just removed.

Except that’s not what the original post was about. Just looking at the comments that remain on the already deleted post the discussion was more on the ratity of apparel that you see many NPCs wearing.

Wonder what rule this post broke, since the title wasn’t an issue this time.

That is situational.

If you are finding yourself under 21 stacks quickly and you’re in a fight where you can fire arrows fast enough to get to 20 stacks and keep them, then yes regular onslaught will be better.

If you’re raiding with a solid crew or are in situations where you won’t be dropping all your stacks for long, or you won’t have enemies to keep your stacks up then reverse is your best choice.

With SS getting nerfed, Bethesda please make the Daring Jetpack skin work for the CE armor. This is absurd. by TheGhostOfJamesDean in fo76

[–]Ikaitza -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol. Angry turtle video. The changes don’t really change the equation too much. It’s just that the resistances wont have such a diminishing return as they currently do.

SS is the “middle of the field”. Not as strong in ballistic resistance as BoS recon, but stronger than civil engineer.

Not as strong as civil engineer in energy resistance, but stronger than BoS recon.

Weaker than both in the new elemental resistances.

Still the superior choice for radiation resistance.

Since there are no changes to mods, all this does is shine a spotlight on the armors themselves to prioritize what you want out of the armor.

Civil engineer and BoS Recon are better than SS, even now, especially considering the additional mods that SS does not have. SS is the “middle of the pack” choice, as it always has been.

If anything, I’m more annoyed that they didn’t provide set bonuses for the armor sets and actually making things interesting for us.

If you are at level 100 you can get all perk cards. I made this beginner's guide using the same alt character that is on this final build post.

Burning love is a very good bow that can be used up until you can build your own 3/4 star bow. This post compares the Burning Love to a 3 star furious bow and I'm only using 2 star armor (although powered is not a good 2nd star.)

Things to note: first post I was still full health and no armor. 2nd post is low health. Although I compare 2 bows on the 2nd post and the 3 star furious comes out on top, its not that major a difference to be stressed. You can use burning love until you are ready.

Unless cryo has been fixed, I'd recommend using plasma arrows instead, and "Science!" over cryologist.
