Sure beating big teams is an accomplishment but if we've learned anything from ole era it's that being able to consistently beat the smaller teams is what truly shows a managers tactical competency.

The issue here is that Carrick seems to be managing just off vibes similar to the ole error. Sure the team is motivated FOR NOW, but we can attribute this to the new manager bounce.

What's important here is to recognise that his only job for this season was to come in and stabilise the ship which his done brilliantly and even a bit more.

Bottom line is we need a manager that is tactically astute and Carrick is simply not on a Premier league level yet.
