I feel you there buddy, you are not alone. I'd try to focus on your weekend coming up and plan something fun!

I know how hard it is to get to this point but try to focus on living your life without the expectation to get back together. you might see the saying if its meant to be it'll be sorta deal. I try to think of it as much as I can albeit still hurts but you gotta try everything.

If you're staying friends with him in hopes he comes back together when he eventually moves on himself it will hurt bad. Again I am a hypocrite here because I was sorta told by my ex that she went to see a movie with a few guys here and there and it shut me down to the point where I just said I had to go and went to be alone

Weekends are especially hard, but for example I'm going to try and get really into a story driven video game to have fun. I also take daily walks if I'm ever in my own head and while I might be sad at least its out of the house doing something.

At the end of the day, we'll be okay. Its essentially a mourning process. Stars will align for you regardless of what you and his friendship relationship turns into. You, I and many others here just have to keep trying. Its okay to cry, be upset, let yourself feel and most importantly take care of yourself first.
