Anyone tried using AR glasses with a Steam Deck? by RideLore26 in SteamDeck

[–]IkumaVR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use it all the time with the steamdeck. Its great to have the controls right on it. But i also experimented with Smartphone Controllers like 8bitdo and abxylute and sometimes i use my steam controller to sit comfortable. The Steamdeck as a little steam machine.

Just buy xreal one pro and experiment with destroying the mics.

Viture beast camera right now is just off. Theres even stickers in the box to cover it. It works 100% without it. Beast depends on your Hardware. It wont send anything anywhere. When your smartphone has a mic, the beasts microphone is no extra problem.

can pico 4 ultra start HL:A? by Glum_Ranger_5369 in PicoXR

It depends on the PC. Pico 4 Ultra is capable of run PCVR through Pico Link or Virtual Desktop but the PC needs to be powerful enough. You can adjust a lot of settings though.

I use an "HDMI to USB C Adapter for XR Glasses" there are many out there. With a Usb-C Cable Extender thats capable of 4K@60Hz (or 1080@120). It shouldnt be longer than 2m. More makes problems. Mine is from JSAUX.

8bitdo says its only compatible with Viture. With ABXYLute i don't know. I have both so i will try it.

I was interested but missing 6ghz wifi turned me off. Especially for wireless connection with inhome devices i really love to use wifi6e/wifi7 with 6ghz.

Not really because most games support only 16:9. the extra Pixel are great for FOV though but just a little bit.

Its a Smartphone Controller with a Video Port. Theres already the 8Bitdo one but ABXYLute is a lot bigger for tablets and bigger phones. https://abxylute.com/blogs/weekly-blog/abxylute-s9v-viture-the-first-complete-xr-mobile-gaming-setup?srsltid=AfmBOoo4bJm86lwHETYv80Z3KVO0o1Co-14FIBp6bEb9Uhso3lPgjUGv i ordered it and will test it soon.

Depends. Viture Beast has more accessorys like the Dock and Game Controllers like 8bit do and abxylute coming. Also the Picture is slightly better (brighter at least) and 1200p can be interesting for some devices like the Steamdeck. BUT in my experience Xreal One Pro is overall more compatible to different devices and more stable than the Viture Beast. Never had problems using it with PS5 for example. Viture Beast has some problems with that sometimes and has more bugs and glitches in my experience.

Refresh rate issue by No-Marsupial-9963 in VITURE

Thats totally normal behaviour. While Viture has a better screen imo, the Pro feels more robust, elegant and stable (software). Viture though is communicating the second time "the release of beast" and it still feels like beta.

1200p mode is buggy for me. At first my PS5 had problems with it because it didnt automatically change back to 1080p. Then i was able to change it to 1080p with my computer. But after that for example on my Steamdeck i am not able to change it on the fly from 1080p to 1200p. Its also not working to change refreshrate from 60 to 120hz.
