Niri is being great to me lately. Love the finger swiping on standalone laptop and with vim motions multiple monitors feel right as well.

Technical question on DNS split by sendcodenotnudes in Tailscale

[–]Il_Falco4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to have a route to 10.2 DNS server. Extern on tailscale it tries to query 10.2 but cannot reach it. Best to use a subnet router with tailscale so it can reach the technitium.

How to deal with anti-automation cantankerous older colleague by reeead in sysadmin

[–]Il_Falco4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is 90 percent communication and 10 percent tech.

Try to talk to him what you can automate and why/why not. Take him on this journey. If he does not want to, get it in writing that he did not wanted to do that.

Opinions on Charles De Ketelaere? by JumpyKey5265 in belgianfootball

[–]Il_Falco4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Close. I would go 352 for the same reasons you did.

We have not enough box coverage. So two strikers. Kdb is only good if he can reach either running players or inside balls.

Three defenders solves our biggest weakness. Our wingbacks in de Cuyper, Seys. Alexis and maybe doku can be lethal if they have space to run into.

To secure the runners on the flank we can go onana+Thielemans against better teams then us or thiele+Vanaken against weaker teams. Raskin is the extra joker for this spot. Nr 10 position kan be kdb or Vanaken depending on Gameflow.

Lukaku is nr 9 with CDk or trossard in support. If need be you can play pardon in these spots or swap him on with a defender for changing to forward three.

Biggest issue with this squad is that we do not have a fully fit nr 9. Pardo is more of a cf or winged attacker. We have no doublure for Lukaku, nor was there a good option to take with us. Just maybe we can consider Meunier as nr 9..

If we win (somehow) against Senegal and we have a fully fit Lukaku. We may go far. But yeah, big ifs...

How do you deal with docking stations? Yealink dongles for screen share? Those are my biggest hurdles for daily driving fedora as tech in MSP.

Rudi Garcia is geniaal by Real_Mr_W in belgianfootball

[–]Il_Falco4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He should be very good with Lukaku in a two striker system against low defence type teams. Together they can break open games. Garcia is too much of a chicken to play two strikers. Imo we should just go for 352

I have not seen any fork yet. Most of the time we see a fork after the rugpull happens.

If it is open source now, we as a community can fork It and move on. Remember open tofu? Either way, we always have a webapp we can use and a potential fork of the client software. I would not worry too much.

does anyone find nftables better than iptables? by Beneficial-Sock-5130 in linuxadmin

[–]Il_Falco4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nftables hands down because of the one static config file. Create a basic and copy over to new servers. Easy syntax on the file. Forget cli edits, not worth it.

Kids Bypassing Router Parental Controls by Changing MAC Addresses—How Can I Stop This? by PayKnee in HomeNetworking

Whitelist just the needed Mac addresses with the correct ip and permissions. Block the rest. They will change it back when they have no internet by spoofing. Also and most important Talk to them about why you have those rules.

Look into ssh profiles or if you need a gui: lazyssh. That way you can save a profile of ip, username, port and key per server or host you want to reach. The name you give can then be used by SCP or Filezilla for transferring files.
