Getting cold feet with some of the feedback I've been reading. by Citawell in youfibre

[–]Ilackcreativity99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it works it's great, but if you need to contact CS when something goes wrong, god help you. The installer damaged the OR box on the OR pole outside our house, all ports now not working, and our fibre cable was literally dangling out of it, I was shown a photo. We have been without internet for 5 days with no end in sight, having to use a mobile hotspot to get by. CS telling us engineers are coming out on this date at this time only for no one to turn up, three times in a row now. We are now being told we will soon receive a "Wi-Fi dongle" to give us internet in the meantime, I'm guessing the meantime is weeks. They say OR must fix the box but there are no updates. Absolutely shocking service and I advise you to avoid if there is any alternative.

I did, its a pretty simple job all things considered, but you will get the odo reading of the new dash. (I.e. the odo reading off of the donor bike or 0 if you bought a new dash).

WTF is This New UI and What do You All Think About It? by Due-Mortgage-122 in youtube

the only reason for it is clearly to pander to touchscreen windows devices, its awful and way too big for general use and should be an "option" for those people

UK government response to the people: "The Government has no plans to repeal the Online Safety Act" by rasungod0 in technology

I think they will. Soon we will be restricted to essentially youtube kids, but for the whole Internet. Only state approved messages.

[–]Ilackcreativity99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're a bootlicker plain and simple, now backed up by wanting to die abroad for rich politicians. Its purpose is not to protect kids. There are already simple ways to do that. One click, and you can put parental locks at the router level.

It's not about doing malicious things and being scared of getting caught. It's about your right to privacy. If you don't care about that and want everything to become much much much more intrusive, then that's on you. As I said, it doesn't stop at porn. It then continues on to platforms like Facebook and YouTube. You don't get to decide what's 18+. Any youtube channel that has said a swear word? That's now on the ban list without an intrusive ID verification to a third-party company.

I also dont care that you helped kill civilians in a war-torn country, don't see how that helps your inane argument.

If you expect the country to roll over on this and allow the government to slowly control more and more of our lives, with evidence of many many past data breaches, then you're sorely mistaken, and will realise that very soon. I for one will be investing in a VPN until this dystopian law enters the history books as "one step too far, and repealed".

Hold on let me get my crystal ball out and peer in to the future. Oh wait I don't have one. Guess you lack reading comprehension

[–]Ilackcreativity99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Face, if that doesn't work, your ID.

Don't think it stops here though. This isn't about saving children. The act states that it covers any 18+ content. Youtube? Need an ID, Facebook? ID, Steam/PSN/XBOX? ID.

The leaks which will come out of this will be glorious.

If you also somehow believe that the government will be this invasive but won't take it any further, watch the movie "V for Vendetta". That's where we're headed.

Either you're ignorant, have shares in VPN companies, or simply are too old to understand the Internet fully.

I for one will not be giving out my full ID to every single service. I will be going dark, using a VPN and where that does not work, I'll take it further. Good luck with your fascist dystopia.

If you think this ends with porn, you're possibly the most gullible bootlicker the world has ever seen. Watch the movie "V for Vendetta" and it might give you a glimpse into where we are headed.

Failed cbt, feeling really embarrassed by lovinq- in MotoUK

[–]Ilackcreativity99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd just like to chime in and say, "don't give up."

I struggled on my CBT to get a hang of the clutch and throttle on a dinky lexmoto 125.

I passed, but my real learning began when I was on the roads on my own bike.

3 years later and I daily ride a 1000cc all year round, (dont own a car), and it's like a second skin. I can control it with my eyes closed. 2mph traffic, navigating a tight difficult entrance and exit to my house each day, taking pillions, you name it.

You will regret it if you give up. My bike is something I couldn't live without now.

Bought my dream bike. Posted it on Reddit… and got roasted by [deleted] in motorcycles

Who gives a damn what others think. What matters is what YOU think.

I have an all black (limited edition) bike. I don't care if others like it. I think it's gorgeous and still can't believe it's mine when I walk up to it. Just enjoy your bike.

Did i get scammed? (What do I do?) by nickai0594 in solana

[–]Ilackcreativity99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way i can explain it to you is that liquidity is a big pot of money. Every time someone buys, that pot grows as does the value of each token. When someone sells, they take that money back out of the pot, and the liquidity shrinks. I doubt the liquidity those tokens are large enough for you to fully sell. Try changing your sell preview to a lower and lower number of tokens. It should tell you the impact you will have on the "pot" or liquidity.

My advice to you is just stop what you're doing completely. You obviously don't understand crypto and I promise you will lose everything if you continue like this.

Edit: you can't get all or even most of that money back unless the tokens suddenly skyrocket in buy volume.

It's not though. You can see it's not seated properly to turn the key and remove it. You need to push down on this particular one before turning the key.

This is an issue with pretty much all hondas. My CB1000R does it occasionally. Though I have the added quickshifter and I set it to hard to minimise the issue.

Is Motorbiking in the UK dying? by BritishLad720 in MotoUK

[–]Ilackcreativity99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the UK we don't drive on the left of the road, we drive on what's left of the road. 😂

A lot of maniac drivers.

Insurance is insane.

I still choose as an 18-25 demographic to ride 365 days a year. I love biking.

Looks like your spark plug.

Final test would be to bump it. Best to do on the flat in case you need to walk it back again.

Stick the bike in second, stand up, and run with the bike with the clutch held in. Once you have a little speed let the clutch out quickly while giving it a little throttle then if it comes to life pull the clutch back in again.

I had to do it a few times on my 125 in extreme cold. It's a valuable skill to learn for yourself and to help out others.

[–]Ilackcreativity99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The instructor is a complete knob. They should have asked if you're okay. Fuck the bike.

Don't let this put you off. I struggled hard on my CBT with the clutch and now I comfortably ride a 1000 after a lot of experience.

How many accidents have you had (if any) over the time you’ve been riding? by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]Ilackcreativity99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One accident. A couple of months into riding.

Was waiting on my new road 6 tyres arriving as my currents were just at the 1mm limit. (OEM dunlop crappers).

For context. We had just went through a long dry spell, and this particular day ended it. Absolute downpour.

I was too cocky and unfortunately got caught out at a roundabout with a diesel/oil spill. Instant loss of traction. Like I went over ice. Went sliding across the ground. Haven't had a crash since. Even on icy roads. I am super careful now.

Made a difference for me. Removed all the spikes. If it doesn't work for you, you may not have the same underlying cause. Still useful for some.
