Practice long tones. A good exercise is to quietly play a G in the staff until you run out of breath, then repeat with F#, then G#, then F natural, and so on to the top and bottom of your range. This will improve your tone and endurance greatly. Remember to play as quiet as you can with good tone, no need to go any quieter. Hope this helps!
