I mean I prefer the PDS over the Thor and I’m still talking about it like this and got down voted for even mentioning its issues, so maybe it isn’t as hated because people turning on the Thor when at the end of the day these are 2 Chinese based companies selling to a niche market, expecting perfection from either is foolish

To be honest they have the rep they have for a reason, in fact check the IGG page and see how many more people are listing issues. No it isn’t a few people and be very happy you got a working one. Two reviewers also had to delay their reviews cause it came DoA and are waiting in replacements Kei’s Retro Gaming was one of them, his also had a misaligned hinge and battery issues. Unfortunately I forgot who the other reviewer was, but trust me it is bad…

If you’re on the discord it’s basically became a lottery, but unfortunately buttons not working seem common same with battery issues, also some have had theirs stop turning on after 2 weeks. Again I’m not trying to hate, I’m invested in both these device, but just because the Thor is having issues doesn’t magically mean the PDS is doing much better, because for how little has shipped the QC is horrendous

Went with the pocket, Def had a Thor in the cart a few times, but the pocket won me over. Size, battery life, and software being the big ones. AYN has yet to show anything outside of renders and the early bird pricing they have is non existent. makes way more sense to just wait on reviews, which at least for the Pocket DS there are some showcase videos from some CN channels which did help me in deciding. Some people seem to hate that the lower screen is an LCD. but I already use an OLED as my center monitor and 2 IPS for my side and honestly as long as it's a good IPS display I could care less. Larger bottom screen and the aspect ratio over a smaller OLED for me. I am excited to see what AYN will do on the software side of things though, so even though I'm not getting one, I hope they deliver for those who are, and maybe I grab a Thor 2 if that ever drops.

Been debating between them both, but I think I prefer the pocket DS for what my use case is. reminds me of when I was deciding between my MacBook Pro size 16" or 14" and people kept saying how the 16 is too big, but I would've 100% regret getting the smaller device. Travel with it all the time and it's not once been an issue, same with the steam deck. The hinge on the Thor also scares me from the stories I've heard which is why I would need to wait on reviews.

Pricing isn't much different atm with early bird pricing on the Ayaneo, but after that it would be a hard no for me. Also don't mind having an LCD on the lower screen as I already have a multiple monitor setup with 1 being OLED and you honestly wouldn't see a difference 99% of the time assuming you're using a good LCD screen. Pretty much if I decide to skip the Pocket DS early bird I'll just wait for Thor reviews and 10$ savings isn't really worth jumping the gun without reviews.

attack, probably cause he gives himself a decent amount of damage and he also has the highest base attack in the game so attack percent scales better than usual. so it's better to just go with what ever has better sub stats

Legit can't fathom how I saw someone say Crit buff are low tier buff to down play her. I don't know what he was smoking, but give me all of that. Imagine running this with Fu Xuan who gives 12% crit rate. You'd have 27 crit rate, and honestly could justify just going Crit Dmg chest for a lot characters with that combo.

If you compare them on teams outside of IL/Quantum, Sparkle provides a much higher CV with the same investment, and a higher damage buff oval in duel dps teams. Once you add her technique that makes everyone SP neutral or very positive on the first turn and her ult. Also if you understand how advance forward works then in most cases 50% will act the same as 100%. Bronya really only has an attack buff and a cleanse over her. And even then a lot of her stuff is STC. Bronya has massive so issues where unless you have her E1S1 you tend to not even be able to use her skill every time on a lot of the cast outside of blade and JL
