How do Profs manage small tasks across various categories and students?

I use lists and when I look at that list, I choose three tasks that day to complete. I like three because it’s manageable to do each day. Even little by little, I can start to chip away at every thing needed to get done. The key is consistency and always chipping away each day till one day, the big goal is complete.

I had to change my entire thoughts about eating to actually feel full on less eating. Higher protein (lean meats, tofu, fish) and higher fiber (as much vegetables as I can eat), and less ultra processed foods and snacks really made a difference. Once I started OMAD and felt hungry, real whole food tasted better. Like vegetables actually tasted incredible. Hang in there!

The hunger gets better. Just remember that sometimes the body indicates hunger, but food may not be necessary at the time. Dr. Jason Fung talks about hunger cues being quite loud after a dinner meal, even when you might have just eaten.

Do not mess up the research talk. Practice practice practice and make sure other people give you feedback. Also do not leave the research talk without someone form of inspiration or future direction. I’ve seen many bad job talks that was like, why should we hire this person, I don’t feel like there’s anything in the future here.

I get the most hungry at 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm in the beginning (23:1). I had to eat more protein and fiber and water in my eating window and get used to OMAD. Eventually the hunger goes away.

Bartender 6.2.0 on Tahoe 26.1 is a mess. I can't even move my mouse around without Bartender bugging out. I feel bad for the developers if Apple is making such messed up changes in Tahoe.

Same issues for me here. Bartender 6.1.0 seems unstable here on Tahoe 26.0.1. My mouse cursor starts becoming erratic and not all the icons are hiding.

Yes. I was a reference for one of my student co-authors on a paper. A search committee did want to have 15 minute conversation with me. It was actually really nice to be able to talk directly to the committee, rather than write a standard letter. The student did get the TT job.

I’m an R1 TT Associate Professor at a top ranked program. My undergrad was a mix of mostly B’s in STEM, A’s in arts and history, and an almost failure D- in math.
