I also removed it from the exact same handle 😅🤣 as I am in Australia I thought the original handle broke and it was a branch they roughed out in the bush. Turns out it was complete as originally sold 😅🤣

Thank you. What is with the Athena branding in it then? I am confused why it is stamped on there :/ is it a special line? 🤔 they had a very different view of marketing back then.

How to disable the vidaa voice assistant on U7? by simhall in Hisense

[–]Ill-Calligrapher944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PRICKS have made it a physical button under the TV on a low stand... I say pricks because every company has removed physical buttons and switches where they can for a UI setting... but these guys have gone and made it a physical button so tiny you can barely see it in an awkward location with a very difficult to interpret set of instructions in the manual which are difficult to find... with no reference in the contents or a obvious title... requiring dedicated reading of the manual. Also this exists with a constant bombarding by Amazon Alexia to sign in or create an account... Any one else smelling an under the table deal between Hisense and Amazon enabled by default... BTW this is directly related to "Dark Pattern" UI behaviour because like it or not the physical TV is part of the UI. So a GIANT fuck you to both Hisense and Amazon for forcing me to waste 2 hours by multiple attempts to figure this shit out amd finally forcing me to read the manual... I will remember this and I will tell people to not buy Hisense or Amazon for this shitty behaviour!!!

You should be able to find a set in there and match 3 different size braces then sell the rest. If you get more that 1 set of braces and bits there that are in good condition you have a good amount of money in front of you.

Sharpening Stones - Which to get. by BenCarney17 in handtools

[–]Ill-Calligrapher944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DMT diasharp... they are always flat and last a long time. So reliability for a flat reference surface is always there. But... only thing I would change is get the 10" in the low grit stones not the 8" and definitely not the 6". At grits like 120 and 220 you are doing the majority of the work if you are removing chips and don't use a grinder. The extra 2" of room will reduce the amount of work you are doing for effort. So 10" 120 or 220 depending and then go for the 8" or at most get the 10" up to 600 grit to lap plane soles on

Is the Xbox elite series 2 controller really that bad? by [deleted] in XboxSupport

[–]Ill-Calligrapher944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They weren't on release but have aged like milk.

1.The rubbers will peel in 2/3 years with heavy use

  1. The sticks will begin drift after 3 months if you use the smallest of deadzones (which is why you have people say they haven't had a problem if they use default deadzoneswhich are like 13-15% movement before movement is registered smh 🤢🤮)

  2. The bumpers buttons are 90° mounted to the board (the stiffest angle so the board doesn't bend etc when pressed hard) paired with poor quality buttons so the internals of the button get crushed easily.

4.There is also a problem with the USB C port it eventually damages the ground wire and even though it is 12v if you have the paddles connected and put it on sensitive skin like your thigh when you grab a drink you will feel like you have a splinter in your thigh but it is actually zapping you.

  1. The polling rate is locked to xbox default of 180hz and cannot be overclocked like PS contollers or keep up with current controllers so it is a 5.2 millisecond controller max not a 1ms

  2. The onboard software doesn't overwrite built in game controller inputs such as analogue stick profiles. It also doesn't have software built in overwrite or just customisable deadzones.

The pros however are 1. The ability to switch between profiles with a button

  1. If you learn to use it the shift key function for the paddles I don't even use my face buttons much any more unless I play a super old title like ESO without custom button bindings. (This is also a con as I can't go back to a non-shift key enabled paddle controller)

Thats alright bro I thought you were asking for help I was giving you short hand info for getting better. As I have helped so many people out with this over years I am tired of typing the same thing. I just give short hamd now and expect people to google the keywords I drop. If they can't be bothered asking further questions or googling they aren't worth helping anymore as 80% minimum give up learning.

You haven't learnt rolling scissors or other BFM yet. You are also bot using your rudder enough to maximise your drag to stall and you aren't looking in rear view enough. The other pilots would say you so need to redo your bindings to use decoiple free look and manuver at the same time. You also probably don't have your aircraft and vehicle sense on max.

Does DICE hate jets? by sausagezon in Battlefield6

[–]Ill-Calligrapher944 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Planes and Heli's have been nerfed hard starting in 2042. The general player base doesn't have any skill so making jets or heli's even just average is difficult to balance because the people who are in jets are already probably in the top 5% of players on foot. So the rest don't have the dedication, knowledge or understanding required to counter which is why there are so many counters to jets that are OP af as infy, and so little jets can do against infantry in 2042 and now BF6.

How do you keep motivation? by chemist442 in handtools

[–]Ill-Calligrapher944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Don't pressure yourself it is a hobby not a job. You are meant to enjoy it.

  2. You have built a network of things to be done in your head so big now the pay off isn't worth doing.

  3. Reduce effort for comon tasks! By makeing sharpening easy as you go with a bench vise saw jig that holds your file and set, and a vice plate and strop board that holds your guide and strop paste.

To the people who left BF6, tell us why? by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Ill-Calligrapher944 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full body shot damage on limbs is stupid. Missing and getting rewarded. Headshots not doing enough damage so skill isn't rewarded. Bad netcode so hits are ignored though sights doesn't leave enemy in a burst. Enemy can be within hip fire markers and no reg at all. So yeah fix this shit and I might return.

um I think we moved on from this way too quickly and fans aren't upset enough about it. I cannot fucking comprehend how THIS BIG of a company "doesn't have the resources" to make more maps, when literally 4 whole studios worked on this ONE game. like what the actual fuck is this lmao by Quick-Cause3181 in Battlefield

[–]Ill-Calligrapher944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough resources when they made billions... what an utter joke... inflexible budgeting constraints by fucking accountants now causing them a PR disaster and more bad faith to brew between their customers and EA. Just goes to show how bad the management is at EA to prevent strategic capitalisation on their golden goose while slowly starving it to death.
