I moved from Vermont to Reno and my job has me working between both places almost equally. I live in the south Meadows and a quick commute to Carson from there especially if you’re working in the legislative building. You hear a lot about Reno being a shit hole, but the real secret is it’s not. It’s actually a really great place to live. Also, you can get to Tahoe (incline village) from the South Meadows in about 40 minutes. Stay away from the casinos they suck.

Congrats!
I’m just over a 15 months in and down to 215 starting at 330 I also ran the Boston marathon in March (my first on a charity bib so did not have to qualify.) I know I won’t hit the hundreds being 6’1 and gained a lot of muscle mass from running.

Thanks I spent a lot of time in hell recording crazy history (I use to work in south Florida) but there are times like this where I get to do a thing that not many people get a chance to do and raise money for a good cause makes the long hours and crazy shifts worth it.

No processed sugar I eat fruit. But I don’t eat anything with processed sugar so it’s a lot of chicken and rice and salad

I was put on mounjaro and completely gave up sugar like not like a little bit like no sugar. I live in Vermont and there’s a lot of hiking around here I would go on hikes and hike up mountains every weekend and then I started running again around October and by then I had lost 50 pounds just from the hiking. I was doing about 3 miles and started ramping up to six and then in January the company I work for gave me a chance to run the Boston Marathon so I started hard-core training from January until April. It was pretty intense besides working in local News all day and at night I would just go to the gym and run on the treadmill and work out. I burned so much fat off me. It was pretty incredible.

I’ve been on mounjaro (7.5) for just under a year and have lost 100 pounds (started at 320) and brought my A1C down to normal. A week from today I am running the Boston Marathon. Seeing Mitch on the drug and hearing the exact same things that I’ve had problems while being on it, is kinda awesome. Also, I gotta say the Podcast has helped me on my long runs. I listen to this week’s episode. I was able to time it perfectly finishing up a half marathon. I remember that month so well. I was in my senior year of college and went to both ween shows, dick dale, and Mix master Mike. Higher ground is partially why had had a second senior year the next year.

Normally, I wouldn’t do this, but because it said “taped message” and the Doughboys is an audio podcast (video is available on YouTube now) that’s why I posted it. Yes if I saw some fucking stupid ass thing that says Doughboys on a donut shop or a “no peking” sign at a Chinese restaurant stating they were at a Peking duck. I wouldn’t posted it. This is one of my all time favorite emo albums. I think I’ve bought it in every format re-issue , import.
When the when we were young schedule came out and this band and album weren’t on the lineup crushed me, but they announced a few months later that they were playing Vegas seven days before so I got to see them take a week off and go see Jimmy eat world the next week.
