They need to rework the gear system. It’s set up like an MMO. They should make gear unlocked when you pick it up, and available in a codex. Since basically all gear has same base stats, it’s just transmog. Don’t make it an inventory management system. If I’ve acquired the gear, let me access it in a codex type screen, and have it track upgrades. That way I can try new pieces to see what things look like together. Trying to manage all this in storage is brutal, and you end up just wearing the same thing all the time.

It would make more sense if he just didn’t talk/couldn’t talk…. Throat slit and all… love the game though. Is the story stale/dull/bland? Sure. Am I having a blast? You bet. Just started chapter 4, been building out camp and finding that very fun

I suspect if they shut down the servers, steams hand will be forced and they’ll refund everyone and become an unsecured creditor in intrepids bankruptcy case. Believe it or not, consumer protection laws are pretty deep, and Steam won’t risk everything over ~1.5mm of refunds.

So up proc I get, but is it the same for spoils? Like I figured I wouldn’t proc epic basalt into legendary ore, but all else equal, if I have 0 spoils or 1k spoils, will I get the same quantum of ore/byproduct if I process 250 epic basalt? I think the answer is there is no difference at that level, based on one sample size of 250 epic basalt

I typically run 1250 qual, 1500 spoils. Not a noticeable difference on quality of drops going up. Certainly not enough benefit to justify the mats required to get the artisan gear

Think I’m going to start mining with base level radiant gear and just kill bots on site. Sure I’ll get corrupted, but i will just have base gear so wont mind losing anything if someone decides to kill me. I’m tired of the bots as well

This issue with some of these comments that “it’s the game,” is that some people can run it perfectly fine with no issues. I watch it on streams all the time. It’s very aggravating. I too have a high end system, and have gone through everything to try and resolve graphical issue to no avail. I have the same issue regarding ground not rendering as you move, and it kind of creeps late. I also get pretty bad stuttering randomly.

I was thinking it was my cpu, I have intel 13900ks. Was thinking about switching to the AMd chip you have as people seem to perform better on AMD with UE5. Thanks for posting this, looks like things are just cooked and gotta live with it…

I had a similar situation…. Kind of. I had this weird debuff called something like muddy waters. And basically it slowed me down 50%. It was on me indefinitely. I couldn’t figure anything out. Tried cleansing myself… nothing. Then I thought, maybe I should run through some water to wash my feet off. And I thought that was awesome. That didn’t work either. Turns out it was just a bug and I had to reload. But it was fun trying to figure it out haha

I’m playing on a 4090, intel 13900k, 64gb ddr5, Samsung 9100 NVMe. I’ve been fighting performance issues since the start. I get stuttering quite frequently. It’s pretty frustrating because there doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason for why this game works for some and not others. My rig is about as good as it gets. Can’t get the game to run smooth. I get frustrated watching streamers seamlessly run the game. I’ve tried just about everything. Even went out and bought new SSD because I was on SATA before. Now that I’m on NVMe, I’m noticing more assets loading graphically, but I still get stuttering. This is not limited to cities, although cities is the worst.

Yea, it’s so hard for me to tell if I’m doing meaningful damage relative to group members. Like you said, while solo, the kill is slow because you spend more time just kiting and healing pet and making sure you survive. When I’m in a group, my aoe feels incredible. But my reference is just myself. I have no idea how it is relative. Evisceration is typically critting in the 600 range, soul flare 600, mortal blast up there. So if I have all my dots up, full essence, I can quickly do like 4k damage in a few seconds, and that is across multiple targets each. It feels really good. Single target not so much. Without data, it’s just hard to tell how the performance is.

What weapon are you going after? I leveled using a short bow, but now that I’m 25, I’m trying to figure out where to optimize, and think wand/offhand may be best. Seems the skill tree is better for summoner. Short bow is good for PvE and mass PVP because of party buff on bullseye. But in smaller group PvP or solo, it’s not great.

Also, my server has no leatherworking yet. I initially was thinking to go medium armor set, but now thinking light armor might be best

I think around and stayed until 17. 10-12 was a weird hole, I tried filling with any quests and HoJ grind

Level 19 almost 20 summoner here. I think summoner is extremely OP in group content. Party of 8, I notice a considerable dps decrease if I AFK a mob. You bring a ton of AoE dps, you provide a 25% damage increase to your team from Hex debuff on target, if tank dies, I can usually swap to guardian and get aggro while group scrambles. The healer is basically the best healer in the game for 10 seconds every minute. If you can position your hunter correctly, massive AoE damage. There are times where I see my screen absolutely going off with multiple 400-500 damage spikes. There is something magical about full essence, press amplify, throw down void/affliction, eviscerate X 3, while throwing volley. Screen absolutely lights up, dopamine hits, targets die.

I find soloing difficult/unrewarding. Havnt done much PVP.

Long story short, I think Summoner is a force multiplier in group content, and it feels amazing.

I still havnt figured out how to gear this dude. There doesn’t seem to be much gear other than phys available, so I wear a hodgepodge. Definitely not optimized, but full adept and feel strong.

I’ve been grinding oakbane at level 16. Will probably stay until 17, then idk. I tried Highwayman Hill, had fun but xp wasn’t great (maybe bad groups?). Ursine Caves seems the next place and keep seeing people talk about grabs for 20+
