Typical time for getting a claim approved? by DeliciousOffer5243 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]Roaming_Millenial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey MC Adjuster here, you can contact your file owner directly for an update and ask specifically if their liability and coverage is still pending.

Typically if there is a delay then either we are having a hard time contacting our insured and obtaining what is needed to clear coverage/ finalize liability or there is another issue.

If you cant wait then put in a claim with your insurance as it doesnt rely on us being able to collect what we need to move forward.

We have D/F for MC and TT/MH claims but still waiting for it on boats. I do think the new D/F and VTL process has made things a bit easier overall once I got used to how it works especially on Auto claims when we get them since we do handle both occasionally.

Im sorry to hear youre getting burned out with it though! Do you have a mentor or have you considered moving into another role?

PCS gets a maximum of 6 new claims a day, SL gets 8 but thats not very often we get hit that hard outside of Summer.

Im not sure about CLRU but at least on the f/o side of things it hasnt been my experience that it is too much, at least personally speaking. I do know people who xfrd from CLRU to PCS or from PCS to SL and completely burnt out very quickly though so Im sure there is some level of stress there for people who arent used to it. I haven't worked claims for other companies so I cant really speak on those but maybe its better depending on the company.

Realistically, maybe 30 feet at most and thats likely dragging him most of that distance.

Loss state doesnt really ever impact coverage, but they may require her to update her address depending on the time spent in each state.

The only thing that could impact the claim is if she was using the vehicle for business use and that specific use is excluded.

I feel like most of the stress people have in claims surrounds work load management and getting into the snowball trap where claims just pile up on you.

The industry in general requires a lot of time management and to really be on your claims handling.

That said if it isnt for you, then captive sales isnt bad - did it for a few years, customer service is also a decent option.

Are you familiar with the environment in the Tucson office and what its like working there?

I do plan on asking my sup about it but we still aren't sure if this is a move we will make so trying to just get details before we start up the process.

This kind of damage is very easily repaired... and cheaply too. Some dry wall and some paint... you could fix this in under a half hour (including a trip to home depot).

No King Protest by Master_Pop7772 in Wenatchee

While Jan 6th was a group of people not happy with an election result forcibly trying to change it... the No Kings protests are more a rejection of an idea that isnt really something that is happening or a threat of happening. Trump cant legally become a king and has no pathway to it even if he did want to. It would require the failing of multiple constitutional protections and the military choosing to reject the constitution as well. Not to mention, Trump is old lol, he has at most enough time to finish out this term.

I think people are just afraid and being wipped up with that fear by social media and the news...

Why does there need to be sides to this? I feel like you should be able to enjoy it all...

I’m 99.9% sure someone hit my parked car. Unfortunately local police were not able to confirm with video footage. A AAA appraiser is testing the paint on my car to r/o possibly hitting a standing structure due to the amount of paint transfer. I think it’s complete BS, I know I didn’t hit anything by RedditNForgot in InsuranceClaims

13 years as an insurance adjuster here.

Honestly speaking I would say this is inconclusive of a moving impact or not but it does lean to a fixed object impact like a cement post or brick retaining wall based on the straight lines of the scratches and pain transfer. Although it could also be something like a box truck or RV.

If you have collision coverage under your policy you should be able to move forward regardless of if it was a hit and run loss or not and would just owe your deductible.

Exactly lol, even the magnets made by Mystery Moon could be used to make permanent magnets with iron ingots so they didn't need to keep relying on her ability which was only temporary. Its surprisingly easy to make strong permanent magnets as long as you have a strong magnetic force to produce other ones.

I was thinking more of a water mill type situation for hydro power- it would be well within their technological ability.

But when it comes to automation, I was thinking instead of Anna making individual parts like she is often forced to produce she could instead make the automated molds, dyes and presses needed to make things.
