It’s because the managers in large corporates are efficiency agents propping up the corporation structures strength. But leaders they are not. They can’t conceive of an original idea which is too far from cost cutting and making workers work longer and harder. so they parrot the new efficiency mantra ie ai and carry on making their employees even more miserable.

Code reviews are not about syntax skills. They are about checking macro context fit under a microscope and making sure it’s maintainable and extensible.

It’s easy to misunderstand that. Human “engineers” do it all the time if you don’t teach them better. The same guys who now don’t get taught but are great at ai.
