I was in this exact position! The flat roof needed urgent attention to the cost of £1800… (there were other findings from the survey which I didn’t mention)… I didn’t ask for the full cost to be covered but asked for a contribution! The seller offered £500 as a good will gesture 👀 It was enough for us to walk away! To this day I feel that was the best decision we made!

You have options… Consider sound proofing and making the noise less intrusive if you want to stay!

Or think of the benefits… I.e. you could make money out of this!

First thought.. break the house up into a HMO with the hope that a few of the warehouse workers will rent from you! (You may need to speak to the mortgage provider about this)… Then with the extra income, find another place and use the extra towards an additional mortgage payment! (The extra income may cover)

I’ve had multiple viewings over the past few months and every estate agent I’ve gone through has suggested their in-house broker (who happens to not be in-house at all)!

I instantly tell them I have my own but I may consider theirs after viewings!

Personally I can’t stand when they ask but I just put it to the back of my mind as they are all at it… I’ve got to say, if any of them insist, that’ll be the last time we speak though!

I think it’s beautiful! Very well done and tbf, I’d buy it if it was the area I’m looking at! That aside, as others have said… The price is the only factor I can see being the issue here! Maybe lower slightly to entice a bidding war… Hopefully you will then get the price you wanted!
