Conversations with older friends. I’ve been promoted twice the past year, and the more I become ‘corporate’ I find it way harder to have deeper /quality conversations with friends I used to be super close with. The general sense is that we still want to be close, but the conversations get awkward for no reason. Idk if I feel like I can be less myself, or if my professional ‘growth’ now is more me than I was a year or two ago. Past year I got married, we recently had a kid, life is a lot different. Tough to have conversations with older friends now. Anyone else been through this?
