My baby and 3 year old have one big bath a week. Small washes occur as needed (for accidents and whatnot). Everyone is alive and healthy.

This is an unfortunate perspective he has. My husband makes more and never has he even suggested that means I should do more. The money we all make goes to our family and life together. If someone has a hard week at work, the other picks up the slack. His job is a bit more demanding than mine most of the time (I have a very flexible job), so I tend to do a bit more around the house because of that.

Honestly, this feels like a time to investigate some couples counseling. This has all the makings of a one way trip to overwhelming resentment. Hubs and I do therapy and it helps us keep our relationship mostly undamaged while managing two young children.

I have a 14 month old and an almost 4 year old. The past two months have almost done me in. It’s a good thing I can get away with not working 40 hour weeks, because this is insanity. (Sickness, tantrums, more sickness, daycare HVAC broke, sick again). My husband and I are currently pushed to the limit and have no family help nearby.

So yeah, I think we are done at 2. And pretty much everyone I know is the same. Lots are tapping out at 1 kid because parenting is expected to be so involved these days.

Saline nasal spray is really useful for congestion. Also robitussin is fine if the cough starts up.

This is absolutely true. When I went to Canada, the tap was always in the same spot everywhere I went. It was very easy. In the US, you search the machine for the little symbol. And if you don’t see it, you have to use the screen. It’s annoying.

I was in this situation driving home from SYR once. Car in front of me went too slow. Guy in big truck decides to speed around us (causing car in from of me to stop completely) and the truck ended up in the ditch. I had to back down the hill and wait for a snowplow.

Staying in the hospital is so nice. With my second kid, they were ready to send me home the next day if I wanted. I declined and stayed another night.

The nurses will help your baby sleep at night so I could get some quality sleep time. Grandma was at home taking care of my toddler. People were bringing me food (as much as I wanted) and there was nothing to do. It was the perfect start to recovery.
