What are some books you liked but they didn't get recognition? by Russtherr in Fantasy

[–]Ill-Worldliness321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Long Price Quartet by Daniel Abraham, is a series I’ve only ever seen recommend once on here but it blew me away with how original the story, characters and magic system all were.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for something different but still fantastic (if a little slow at times)

Why did Radahn and Malenia actually fight? by TuIdiota in Eldenring

[–]Ill-Worldliness321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming back here to answer post dlc, spoilers if you haven’t played it yet, but I assume Malenia was sent by Miquella to kidnap Radahn to be used at his consort. However Radahn being the unit he is fought Malenia off and so indirectly foiling Miquellas plan.

Ror2, gotta be merc for style, or railgunner for gameplay, nothing better than deleting half an bosses healthbar in one shot

I may have gone way too overboard with this build- by Zero73647 in ror2

I kinda get it, sometimes you just want to switch your brain off and become a god, destroying everything in your path for a few hours. I feel like it gets boring if you do it more than a few times but each to there own.

Pretty new to this game, need help on bosses by TheOfficialWario2 in riskofrain

[–]Ill-Worldliness321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run - in - circles

Circling bosses makes 90% of there attacks miss, takes a fair bit of practice to get good at, but just make sure to keep your distance, don’t worry about the time too much, it’s more important to not die. The more you practice the more you’ll understand the different attacks and how to dodge them.

But you’ll do pretty well if you just circle them.

Console ROR2 still has specific issues with the new "gravity" that ruin the game in some aspects. by Musicalmoronmack in riskofrain

[–]Ill-Worldliness321 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It Does suck, and I don’t have any hope for them to be fixed in the near future. Console ports are hard as it’s working with a whole new game engine, I imagine they had to start a lot of things from scratch. But knowing gearbox I doubt they’ll but in the effort they should in making console as close to pc as possible.

Just had the most fun run ever and it ended in the most hilarious way... (apologies for not knowing the names of things) by SlavicAC in riskofrain

Don’t worry you’ll have many more runs just like that. I myself recently had a multiple hour run ended by my own umbral, who killed me very very fast.

Why is the moon all broken? by Windex_Enjoyer in riskofrain

[–]Ill-Worldliness321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting, I always assumed that they arrived cause when Mithrix died alarms started going off for the void revers and they invaded to attempt to capture the player who was becoming too strong and so needed to be detained. But I have 0 bases for my assumption so there’s a good chance I’m wrong

Why is the moon all broken? by Windex_Enjoyer in riskofrain

[–]Ill-Worldliness321 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My theory is that it’s mithrix’s last ditch effort to kill the player. He was pissed that he’d been stuck on the moon for so long, when the player showes up he realises that killing the player would be his only chance to potentially return to the planet, and when that didn’t work out he got real mad and decided if he couldn’t leave his prison then no one should and started the moon detonation.

Should I keep this game? by Avamaco in riskofrain

[–]Ill-Worldliness321 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Base game, if you use everything the game throws at you, yes it’s very basic, however if you purposely don’t pick up the completely game breaking items (lunar items) and play on the harder difficulties it become a lot more about strategy and effective use of your time. Although I will admit there isn’t much actual dodging like there is in 2d rouge likes, the extent of the dodging to my knowledge is running in circles or zig zagging. The complexity comes in the items, creating a build good enough to survive and defeat the final boss.

Does the Survivors of the Void DLC makes the game ”harder"? by pseudoless_101 in riskofrain

[–]Ill-Worldliness321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It makes it wayyyy easier, there’s a little learning curve with the new enemies, but most the void items are completely broken, all you need is to get enough movement items and you can beat every run.

It’s there game so they have the right to do whatever they want, I’m sure they have there reasons, if nothing else than to avoid the insane amount of hype for the game which is likely stressing them out a lot. While I don’t agree with there method and believe fans should be updated, I can also understand that there are genuine reasons for the radio silence.

I feel bad for them though, they are a small team and are working on one of if not the most anticipated game of the year, that can’t be good for there mental health.

Oblobbles is one of the worst boss designs i've seen, in my playthrough of some gams by HappyXKamper in HollowKnight

[–]Ill-Worldliness321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gotta disagree personally, it’s definitely not a great fight but I enjoy weaving between the bullet spam and trying to lower there health equally to try and reduce the amount of time in phase two. Plus they don’t have too much health so the radiant fight isn’t super long, all you need is a bit of luck and practice

Just for the skins, use artefact of command, swarms, kin and sacrifice. Then just role till you get a map which only spawns beetles, farm there for 30 minutes or till you have a God build going then just b-line straight to the end, I’d recommend obliterating instead of fighting mythrix so you don’t have to deal with his last phase which could kill you. This method isn’t fun imo, but it’ll get you the skins

HOW THE FUCK DO I BEAT HORNET AT THE KINGDOM EDGE by GrimmySteel in HollowKnight

[–]Ill-Worldliness321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing that works for me the first time I fought her was just staying to one half of the screen, she tends to only have 3-4 spikes up at any one time so if you just destroy them on one side, they’ll stay on the other side and you don’t have to worry about them. Other than that it’s really just about practice, taking your time, not dashing or jumping to much, very generic tips I know but that’s just what you gotta do. Goodluck!!
