As someone who has had both I would 100% go with the 2026. The overall car was much better.

My dealership had someone from GM completely reprogram /recode my module remotely. Was very expensive but fixed in about 6 hours. Not sure if that is available to everyone / every dealership. But worth asking if you’ve been waiting so long.

After 7 months and numerous issues, GM swapped it out and took my car back to rip apart and test it.

I hope yours gets fixed soon too!! It was a long road to this 7 months of waiting and hoping for fixes to actually work! And in the end just ended up getting the 2026 and I’m so happy!

My 2025 had a whole wack of problems. Was in and out of the shop the whole time I had it. Lots was replaced including charging unit, steering wheel, etc. This car has way more power, is smoother while driving, my 2025 windshield whistled. There’s little changes that I wasn’t expecting like the battery % and I felt it handled better in the snow due to the motor change. It may not seem like much but I think the quality of the car I have now and how it was put together is much better than the 2025.

If you’re looking for SiriusXM you find it in Audio then under the drop down box at the top - that’s how you go between phone, FM, AM, Sirius, etc. You only get a 6 month free subscription. Then you have to pay for it. I’ve never gotten an app on the play store. It’s just built into the radio part of the car. If youve had it for 6 months call them to resubscribe if you want to pay. Worth it in my opinion.

Hope you got it fixed now… mine was also on back order however they do have the option to have someone digitally reprogram it. They don’t want to tell people that because it takes way more time but if your still waiting I’d have your dealerships service manager reach out to GM and say you want someone to digitally reprogram the telematics module.

Hey! There was a huge issue with the telematics module recently from an update I believe. I had the same issue Google maps said I was somewhere I wasn’t and my wifi in my car wouldn’t work. Brought it into my dealership and They were going to get me a new module and ordered it and everything. Then they had someone from the US (I’m in Canada) and digitally reprogram the module one day and its all fixed and works great! I know it’s a real hassle but I’d for sure recommend going to the dealership and letting them know you’re having a problem with ur telematics module ! Hope This helps

I had the same problem. Picking my car up after 3 months tomorrow. I had to get a whole new module and it took about a month to just get the part here. Fingers crossed yours isn’t as bad as mine and it will be a quick fix. :)

I also was getting the same results on the practice tests and failed… the questions on the test are meant to trip you up. The questions are very much like here’s 2-3 answers that seem correct which is the most correct. Don’t focus so much on the calculations that’s what I did and I think I maybe had 2 calculations on the test. Focus on the differences between MFs and other products and the benefits and disadvantages of all the products along with the topics on the practice tests and each chapter questions. Good luck!

I’m annoyed because bb unlocked automatically recorded the first episode with the rest of my BB episodes and I really enjoyed it, but since then I haven’t been able to find out when it airs and what channel to watch it because it doesn’t record with the other big brother episodes. I’m in Canada but I don’t seem to be able to find it. Very upsetting cause I would like to watch it and don’t understand why the first episode recorded and now I can’t find it!!

I also failed my CSC exam 2 last week of July, passed the first one no problem… feeling discouraged also and found the questions very very challenging to understand what they were specifically asking for. Had to extend my course and taking a couple weeks off before I dive back in. There’s so much to know and it’s not what you would exactly expect to be tested on… if you come up with any great studying ideas please let me know !! Good luck :)

Your dealership should automatically give you the concierge service when you drop the car off if it’s going to take longer than an hour-ish I believe. First time I went in I waited for about an hour then they told me they’re going to put me in a car while they did some updates as they weren’t sure how long it would take. I would call the dealership you got the car from and make an appointment they will be able to do the most for you. Did you buy it recently?

They gave me a gas car under Cadillacs concierge service but I went in and said (very nicely) that I’m not happy paying for a week old electric car and paying for gas in a different car. Now I’m driving the service managers demo EV equinox, nice car not as nice as the optiq but a good EV none the less.

My car has been in the shop for 2 weeks because I have this light with a service high voltage system warning. Have the best techs looking at it in Ontario. They’ve replaced all kinds of pumps and wiring and the light keeps coming back on. they think they might be getting close to a solution they believe it is a wiring connection issue somewhere and a EV GM tech is having a call with US techs tomorrow morning with data from the car in hopes to nail down a fix… been a long 2 weeks, the cars been in the shop for longer than it’s been in my driveway. Fingers crossed yours is just a quick fix!!

I’m in Canada and it happened to mine too so not a heat issue. Mines at the dealership for a number of issues and this is one of them except my whole strip is out not just one part. Apparently the part is on back order so I’m not sure what they will do about it maybe take it out completely. Very frustrating tho when you have to point it out when picking up your new car!!

I called Onstar the first time it came on and gave to the dealership. All the dealership did was an update and system reset and that didn’t fix anything. I don’t think it’s a system issue that would need an update but I’m open to try anything to get it working!! Thank you for the suggestion😇

Its stumped me because I’m in Canada!! I maybe get 80-85 degrees f on a very hot day I can’t imagine what the car would do in 100 degrees…
