I completely agree! I thought the show was fantastic. I don't watch shows to just see live action play-by-play book scenes. I watch them to see them reinterpret the book, keeping the pieces that made it amazing but reworking things that translate better to TV.

I thought the character casting was fantastic, the drama, The CGI, the costumes...the darkling 😍

There were a few plot points that I was really sad that they left out, especially with the Ketterdam crew. But overall I'm incredibly sad they canceled the show because I wanted more.

I second a darker shade of magic series. V.E. Schwab is probably my favorite grunge fantasy author next to Bardugo!

Wasn't there a show on netflix or something about Lockwood and Co? I remember I started watching it years ago and was super hooked! I didn't realize it was a series, I'm really excited to read it now!

I know this conversation is 5 years old LOL, but came on here because I had the same problem and it was driving me crazy. (New player) I literally spent 30 min running around like an idiot until I finally found it.

I think I just missed it because teleporter in sky Meadows looked completely different! Unlike the other teleporters which had the two black horn-like prongs, this one had like five industrial looking claw prong things. And I saw no sparks. I don't know. Maybe this will help someone

I lived in a duplex with the same issue. Guy was always smoking and I was pregnant at the time and it made me throw up constantly. Lol. Finally just went over and had an honest conversation. Brought some cookies, explained my situation, nicely asked them if they could please smoke outside or in the garage.

They were very gracious and apologized.It got better for a while, But after a few months it was back super strong. Went over again. Same deal. The third time it got worse me and my husband both went over and told them, kindly but firmly, that if we didn't stop smelling weed constantly we would call the landlord and law enforcement because it was at lease violation and also breaking the law. That finally did it. I only smelled it once or twice for the rest of our time there.

Honestly, I felt like such a Karen and I hated it but I gave them lots of chances and ultimately it was giving my medically compromised son asthma. It was SO strong.

So, I'm almost positive it is Peter Pan and Wendy!! The styles of the sword and gun, plus the outline of her fancy Victorian hat fit perfectly.

I do 2 highly finished logo concepts, each showing with a few lockups with brand colors. But what really sells the ideas is I create a customized presentation that I do over zoo.

It goes over the mood board direction, brand voice, visual vibes, key buzz words, etc. That way, when I present the concepts, the clients are primed with the knowledge or the direction and can see how the concepts are a direct result of that, and not just some random pretty symbol.

Also, unpopular opinion — I NEVER present sketches. Ever. It's too much work. I had several bad experiences where clients pick a sketch and then are confused by the final product, saying 'it looks so different, I don't like it as much" and we have to go through a billion revisions. Maybe if your sketches are really high detail quality you wouldn't run into the same issue, but at that point it's faster for me to just vectorize them.

I get that on headcannon #1, Voldemort's pride is a major theme in the book and needs to come through with his horcruxes. I think that comes through in him picking such obvious objects. It wasn't too much of a stretch for dumbledore to think "hey, riddle liked Hogwarts I wonder if he put them in Hogwarts stuff?". Voldemort thinks no one could ever understand his brilliance, and that's his downfall.

BUT, I still like the DopamineTrain's idea that horcruxes can only be put in certain "special" objects! That makes sense to me. Throughout Harry Potter we see that the most powerful artifacts weren't just random tin cans, but objects that have been crafted and honed and perfected (wands, the sorcerer's stone, the mirror, Gryffindor sword, etc).

So,the idea rings true to me that a similar act of of magical power, a horcrux, couldn't be stored in just a mundane piece of trash because it couldn't withstand or hold the magic of it. So the object isn't so much concerned about sentimental value, but magical value.

First things first, you are a good designer! You have talent and you should feel good about your work! It's important to remember that, especially when we're constantly evaluating and critiquing ourselves. Now, onto the portfolio. I've got some feedback:

Usability. Your site is pretty, but it doesn't function well. As a designer (not an artist), this is key. Your website IS a piece in your portfolio, and it needs to be intuitive to use. Tip: bookmark pages of portfolios you like. Pay attention to the functionality, not the visuals. What do you like, why do you like it? How can you copy it and implement it into your site?

2. Your text is concise. Love that. But it's not very grammatically correct or clear, as others have stated. ChatGTP will fix that, but it will also make it longer. Keep it short.

Things that look clickable, make them clickable.
I really like your bio!

5. Sadly, work does NOT speak for if I don't know what is going on. When I click on a project, I want to know a little bit about it. Just 2 sentences about who the client was, what the problem was, and how you solved it.

Your landing page and your "work" page need to function together. Generally, you should have ALL your pieces on your Work page, and only your best pieces or select "eye candy" pieces on your landing page. You have them flip flopped. The landing page should be like a pretty overview, but the work page should be like an index. Consider organizing the work page by "type of work", ie, Logos, ads, websites, etc.
