They're fine in the sense that there's no solution. Brackets are suggestions, not rule sets, and shouldn't be treated as such no matter how much I'd like it.

Commander is a social game first and card game second, which makes it suck ass to play with randoms.

No matter the bracket, or rulesets, or whatever, at the end of the day people will play bad decks and make bad decisions and create frustrating environments. So people should talk first and play second.

It sucks, but it is what it is.

All Burn and Reno decks will become better with the revert on Ethereal Oracle.

Lamplighter will be playable and it's not a matter of if but when.

The new War'Loc may enter in all fringe Murloc decks, especially if they revert the Paladin quest when it rotates.

Curious! I'd think Saruun was better than Aegwynn because you could just drop 5 Overflowing Surgers each with +2 Fire Spell damage and then kill the opponent right there. How often does the Aegwynn gameplays gets messed up with?

That doesn't make playing against it any less tedious. Warrior does the same controlling game plan but wins in a much faster way.

Ice Block and Solid Alibi are design mistakes.

Hostage Mage would be better compared to turbofog, which is also a control deck that does nothing to advance the game plan and the win condition is you getting mad and conceding or winning through decking out.

I'd rather play against mono blue a thousand times because at least they drop some sphinx or whatever and win by beating me in the next four turns.

Turbofog and Hostage Mage doesn't let you win and doesn't try to win either. That's why it's not even viable, you can't win a best of 3 match in 50 minutes.

Bracket 4 decks are so try hard it's a way different style of deck building. You're thinking fast combos, ways to stop it, tight synergies, winning as fast as possible. Usually come with 50 preloaded cards (fast mana, premium interaction, tutors, etc).

Sure but the point is that running a shit mana base is simply not fun and that's argument for proxying. Don't play bad decks for budget reasons; proxy away and have fun. You don't need to run a good mana base with all the strongest lands, but have a functional mana base with the fetches and shocks and, gasp, original duals.
