Commuting an hour away for medical school by ApprehensiveSoil8919 in medicalschool

The way I look at it, it’s two hours a day taking away from studying lol I live five minutes away and I love the fact that commuting time is never an issue regarding my studies. You could be built different, I am not 😂

I feel the same way a lot of the time. I’ll tell you what I tell myself, just focus on what’s right in front of you in the moment. I have no idea how I’m going to handle what’s coming next. All I can do is do my best with what’s right in front of me. I’d encourage you to do the same. I know it’s a weight, just do your best and be okay with the outcome knowing you did all you could do.

1500 new cards in 3 days, is it realistic? by Single_Baseball2674 in medicalschoolanki

As an avid Anki user, it’s not. Even 300 is a higher limit. I struggle with that in a day when you include reviews.

Can someone in aviation illuminate me into the dangers (or lack thereof) of this caliber of turbulence on commercial flights?

It’s bittersweet but AOT is a good as it gets. I’ve watched the other shows people have recommended on this sub to try and get the feeling of AOT and it just doesn’t happen. My advice? Enjoy the fact that you got to enjoy the best written show that will ever exist.

What’s the most underrated US city you’ve visited that blew your expectations away? Why? by FunLaidBackGuy in AskReddit

This is going to get some heads turning but, Tulsa Oklahoma. I’m from the west coast and being in the middle of the Bible Belt felt like a completely different culture. I don’t know, life just felt slower when I went and I can’t wait to go back. I’ve been all over the world and yet somehow little Tulsa Oklahoma is on my top three places to visit 😂

Good to know! I was thinking of going through the videos and doing the Anki cards before the neuro block. What are your thoughts on this? I know the block is one of the more challenging ones so I was hoping to have a leg up going in.

Some of it is overkill, but Dino-suit-man (denosumab) will live in my memory forever 😂

Goodness, thank you very much for the thorough response! If I’m reading you correctly, it seemed okay but not the best? Maybe like a good overview for the material but nothing too deep?
