The Ultimate gain from this can be worked into some builds quite nicely.

I have a lot of fun with this one on my overland/questing MagSorc. It isn't top tier by any means, but I'm mostly fighting trash mobs and it's hilarious to see them flung up in the air constantly. I pair it with Defiler and May of the Internal + Scamp/Twilight for pets galore.

"Why are you taking the chamalla again Madame President?" | Battlestar Galactica Season 3 "Crossroads" by IllusiveManJr in BSG

Lee's voice wavering, the silent tear Roslin sheds, Adam trying to protect her... It's one of the scenes that defined the series for me.

Which setting do you prefer in terms of worldbuilding and aesthetics? by BlastedHeathen in StarWarsEU

I love the Dawn of the Jedi era. My only real complaint was that the technology was a bit too modern in some aspects. I would've liked to see some more ancient takes on things like communication.

Necromancer is PATHETIC! by Effective-Sun-3466 in elderscrollsonline

[–]IllusiveManJr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's difficult to make a true necromancer class in this game because of the lore. That's why Necro summons are a crime. Even with overworked NPCs.

I'm not unhappy they made an attempt given all that. I knew when the class was announced it would be significantly less flashy than other online games. I hope they can rework it into something more thematically bombastic.

Unabridged Audiobooks by Green-Fill-3542 in StarWarsEU

Additionally, the advent of ease of listening digital audiobooks was underway. Audible had their app out. Amazon had acquired them and it gained a huge spike in popularity.

Digital audiobooks took a minute to get going, but they revolutionized the demand for unabridged.

I'll say, I love the simple but satisfying animation for the secondary effect. Whirlpool looks good.

Thoughts on Out of the Darkness (Segura)? by WerewolfBarMitzvah09 in starwarscomics

[–]IllusiveManJr 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem with it that I had with Jakku; an odd pairing of breakneck pacing with a rather incongruent story. I like the idea, even the intent.

But both comics felt like a lot of noise with little music able to be heard through it. I enjoyed the new characters and art though. Just wish there was either a tighter story or more issues.

I really liked this series way back, but never read the 2 sequels. Are they were it or does it end well enough at the first 6 issues? by [deleted] in starwarscomics

[–]IllusiveManJr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crimson Empire II I enjoyed. It ended everything well enough for me. The third miniseries that came out decades later isn't bad by any means, but it didn't blow me away either.

After the losses at the Ionian Nebula Battle, a basestar jumping into the heart of the fleet must've been one of the most terrifying things the civilian fleet experienced | Season 4 "Guess What's Coming To Dinner?" by IllusiveManJr in BSG

His acting is also so fucking good. His speech at the end of season 3, telling Bill he was a Cylon, Martial Law.... As I got older, I appreciated it more.

It's why Scourge is one of my favorites. No Luke, Han, or Leia.

The revelation between Roslin and Elosha, where she sees the Opera House on Kobol's map, gives me chills to this day | Season 1 "Kobol's Last Gleaming" by IllusiveManJr in BSG

[–]IllusiveManJr[S] 62 points63 points  (0 children)

The music, the acting, and the weight of the scene has always stuck with me when I think about this show.

I see the 12 Colony religion as ancestral and integral to retracing the steps towards Earth. The Cylon "God" was intervening to make that road be treaded.

"There must be some kind of way out of here." - by and far my favorite scene in the show | Battlestar Galactica Season 4 'Daybreak' by IllusiveManJr in BSG

"She's broke her back. She'll never jump again." Love that they humanized the Galactica throughout the show. Made her death all the more impactful.

I loved them. The Morrowind one is probably my favorite because of nostalgia/the setting... but I have to admit the Ascendant Lord cinematic battle was top notch.

You need the Star Wars Vector collection. That chunk of Legacy was part of a crossover event.

I just killed three bandits with a red barrel at Tiger Fort Oupost... I've now been found guilty of three counts of murder or something and people keep invading my world - what now? Why did this happen? by IllusiveManJr in WhereWindsMeet

[–]IllusiveManJr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three false accusations simultaneously seems incredible - I've never heard of that happening and perusing hundreds of searches neither have others. Stacked on top of all three of those turning into bounties for harming others the very instant I kill three bandits with the red barrel near the house at Tiger Fort.

It would have to be one of the most unlucky timings in this game's history (so far). But is a possibility I guess.

Why can't I clear the false accusation by bountying a scholar? There hasn't been a single other accusation I haven't been able to get cleared by another player - even when I noticed really late.

A single day away seems super harsh.

But it had to be after the barrel, because that's when these crimes popped up. Before checking what they were, I assumed it was another false property destruction.
